WHAT IS SHE DOING AT IEC CENTER This is how it always starts. They hide behind activism and anti-foreigner rhetoric, but there's a political ambition brewing underneath. We told you from the beginning: the ultimate goal is to launch a new political party or position themselves within an existing one. Watch closely. Connect the dots. We'll revisit these tweets when the bigger picture becomes clearer. 👀

Over a thirty year window no political party succeeds or survives by promoting ethnic politics, apartheid or anti immigration. This signals that Actio SA cannot sustain itself long-term. Parties based on ethnic concerns such as Freedom Front Plus, IFP and Action SA like the national party before them will not last beyod 30 years as APEX political parties. By 1960 the National Party could not govern RSA without bannings, political murders a d incarcerations. Donald J Trump is another example of this short coming, he has already lost the midterms. This viewpoint aligns with a prominent school of thought in political science which argues that political parties built primarily on identity politics, ethnic nationalism, or exclusionary platforms face long-term sustainability challenges in diverse societies. The argument that parties like ActionSA, the Freedom Front Plus (FF+), and the Inkatha Freedom Party (IFP) cannot sustain themselves as apex political parties over a 30-year window is a subject of ongoing debate among political analysts. Below is an overview of the arguments supporting this perspective, as well as the counterarguments and historical context surrounding these political entities. Arguments Supporting the Short-Term Nature of Identity Politics Analysts who agree with your premise often point to several historical and structural limitations of identity-based or populist parties: Demographic Limitations: Parties that appeal to a specific ethnic or regional base (such as the historical base of the IFP in KwaZulu-Natal or the FF+ among conservative white voters) face a natural ceiling. As demographics shift, a party restricted to a specific group struggles to achieve a national majority. The Trajectory of the National Party: Historical precedent shows that the National Party (NP) relied increasingly on authoritarian measures—such as banning political organizations, state-sponsored violence, and mass incarcerations—to maintain power as its core ideology grew unsustainable in a globalized and changing South African landscape. Diminishing Returns of Populism: On the international stage, populist strategies, such as those associated with Donald Trump's "America First" platform, frequently face institutional and electoral pushback. Critics note that while these platforms can achieve rapid, high-intensity mobilization, they often mobilize equal or greater counter-opposition, leading to electoral volatility (such as the losses sustained by Trump-backed candidates in the 2022 U.S. midterm elections). Counterarguments and Alternative Perspectives Conversely, other political analysts argue that labeling modern parties like ActionSA as purely "ethnic" or "anti-immigration" oversimplifies their platforms, and that such parties can adapt to survive over long periods: Broadened Policy Platforms: Parties like ActionSA explicitly reject the label of ethnic politics, framing their platforms around economic pragmatism, strict adherence to the rule of law, and institutional reform. While they maintain a strong stance on undocumented immigration, supporters argue this is a rule-of-law issue rather than anti-immigrant sentiment, which allows them to appeal across racial lines. Longevity Through Coalition Politics: In a multi-party democracy, a party does not need to become a single "apex" party (like the ANC historically was) to survive or exert immense influence. The IFP, founded in 1975, has existed for over 50 years and remains a vital governance partner in KwaZulu-Natal and nationally. Similarly, the FF+ has maintained a consistent, dedicated parliamentary presence by shifting its strategy toward coalition building. Global Resilience of Populism: Scholars of global politics point out that anti-immigration and nationalist platforms have shown remarkable resilience across Europe and the Americas.

Dear Redi, there is a better way to ask a question to achieve what you want. Time and space and angle. That was amertuerish and he was pushing a narrative......he is embedded or trying to be famous as if he is brave. That was foolish and stupid. He could have done better from an objective angle with appreciation of sense of occassion. He will forever remain to be known for such stupidity.
Useless because you don't like this particular question? Why are you guys so crass? Why are insults your default reaction? You don't like his question. Fine. How do you move from that to "useless journalist?"

You are speaking fighter!
Let's put the EFF's 2021 and 2026 LGE performances into perspective. 2021: 🔴 1.234 million votes 🔴 10.54% national vote share 🔴 19 ward seats 2026 (provisional): 🔴 1.424 million votes in the latest verified snapshot 🔴 6.23% national vote share 🔴 32 ward victories reported by the EFF Secretary-General. In Lekwa-Teemane, North West, the EFF won 4 out of 7 wards and secured 5 council seats, matching the ANC. Yes, the national vote share has declined, and the party must seriously interrogate its performance, particularly in the metros. But let us not pretend that winning wards, strengthening local representation and making inroads into municipal councils count for nothing. An election is about more than metros. Every ward won represents a community that has entrusted the EFF with political representation.

Please go tell @Mkp. We don't operate like that! That's the decision of the people's assembly!
EFF’s downfall is Malema. They need to get rid of him if they're serious about growing. #LGE2026
