The U.S. should take this as a warning. If Trump and Elon are willing to force a democratically elected ally to roll over to protect a business interest or an energy deal, they wouldn’t hesitate to compromise American security the second it serves their personal agendas.

Fox News is putting Nicki Minaj up telling people to vote red. Let’s break that down. Can Nicki Minaj vote? No. She’s not a U.S. citizen. Can Nicki Minaj’s husband vote? No, he’s a registered sex offender. Can Nicki Minaj’s brother vote? No, he’s serving 25 years to life for child sexual assault. She seems like the perfect spokesperson for MAGA republicans.

BREAKING: Pentagon prepares every major US military base to operate for at least 90 days without outside electricity, fuel, water or supplies, anticipating a major war that could cripple power grids, break global supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on US soil, per Fox News. The plans include portable nuclear reactors, large-scale battery storage and microgrids able to disconnect installations from the civilian electrical grid entirely.

After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.” “It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.

The Pentagon is preparing U.S. military bases to keep operating for at least 90 days without outside support as it prepares for the possibility of a major war that could cripple power grids, disrupt supply chains and threaten critical infrastructure on American soil. The new requirement is part of FORTRESS, a broader military initiative aimed at ensuring American forces can continue fighting even if the civilian systems they depend on are disrupted, according to documents reviewed by Fox News Digital. foxnews.com/politics/inside-…

Nice try @KatieMiller, but basic engineering doesn't care about your PR spin. Here’s the official SpaceX page for Starshield. It explicitly states that Starshield leverages the Starlink network architecture. When SpaceX unilaterally throttled the core physical network backbone, they choked out BOTH systems simultaneously.👇 Link: spacex.com/starshield
The Associated Press is now purposefully misleading their readers. This fake news is also leading the top of Apple News. These drones were connected to Starlink, a commercial service.

Kremlin demands Trump has Zelensky assassinated! Dmitry Medvedev, a former Russian president and one of Vladimir Putin’s closest allies, has urged Donald Trump to order the assassination of Volodymyr Zelensky, in an extraordinary intervention that seeks to cast Ukraine’s president as an obstacle to the US leader’s interests. “American history itself offers a solution,” he wrote. “All he has to do is summon the secretary of war and the CIA director and tell them to take care of this ‘unfortunate little problem.” londonlovesbusiness.com/take…

As long as Trump and Musk hold even a shred of power in the U.S., it is absolute madness to buy American products.
The recent Starlink / Starshield incident in Ukraine has created a dangerous precedence for the US export industry, many haven't yet grasped. The sudden deactivation respectively curtailing of those systems without warning not only cost precious lives, but also equipment worth millions. Though the blame game between the White House (Trump) and SpaceX (Musk) is going on, ultimately it doesn't matter. It showed the world that the USA are not a reliable partner any more. Pointing at some obscure "violation of terms of services" without providing the exact passage are just increasing that notion that this was a political move. The explanation that Starlink must not be used for "offensive" means is nonsense, too. Starlink has never been turned on over Russia, and using it in Ukraine is by definition defensive in nature. You can even argue that hitting Russian targets in Russia is defensive, since you don't have to wait for an attack to be conducted. Even the intention is enough to warrant action and to eliminate the threat at the source. But this is a different topic. Furthermore, SpaceX has been fully aware that its Starlink terminals are being used by Ukrainian forces. Especially when considering that Ukraine only recently had to white-list their Starlink terminals for the Ukrainian military so that Russian forces, who have been abundantly using Starlink as well, were locked out. It has always been clear that those Starlink terminals are used for and by the Ukrainian military, and Ukraine has always been thankful for that. Coming up with this bogus story, now, three weeks before midterms is therefore as transparent as it is shameless. It is obvious for everyone that this was just figleaf statement so that a political agenda can be pushed, an agenda which runs counter to the strategic nationalist interests of the USA, both political and economic. And this is the real scandal. It is not new that the US had to lock out its technology or supplies to nations with which it had previously good and even cordial relation. Iran under the Shah, South-Vietnam and Cuba before Castro are just three to name it. But as you can see from them, it made perfectly sense back then. Those nations switched sides or disappeared altogether. Ukraine on the other hand didn't switch sides and even helped the US in the most recent and botched Iran war, despite being short on ammunition itself. The Ukrainian government accepted every possible compromise and offered an unconditional ceasefire from the start. Russia on the hand refused all of it and is demanding surrender. Yet, it gets this treatment? Unbelievable. This will be noted by all clients around the globe who purchase US weapons and technology. If agreements are not honored and can unilaterally and even clandestinely be altered based on the whims of a few, who only follow their own motives or election lies, then the all concept reliability falls apart. Whether it is Starlink, the F-35, Tomahawk missiles or HIMARS. All those systems run on software and in many cases can only properly operate with recent updates. You don't even need have a kill switch. You can only refuse to update and many of those systems lose more than 90% of their effectiveness within a short period, making worthless. This is why we see the blame game between Musk and Trump. I'm sure that people around those guys told them how absolutely shortsighted and stupid this step was. It will fall back on the entire US industry. Not even those two guys are worth that losses and backlash. A functional US Congress would immediately start subpoenas and hearings, asking questions in order to mitigate the damage, but here we are. Trump and Musk have given the best reason why not to buy American. Customers - governmental and private alike - around the globe will take note of this and act accordingly, and I wouldn't be surprised if this won't be limited to US military products only. An absolutely senseless and avoidable own goal.

Let's stick to the technical facts: * Commercial Starlink is strictly geofenced to block operation inside Russia. * Ukraine's long-range strike drones rely on independent domestic guidance arrays, not SpaceX tech. * Dropping the speed cap to 100 mph didn't close a loophole, it throttled the military backbone (Starshield) and harmed active air defense.
People need to understand that if Starlink is used as a weapon … it becomes a target. This is why Starlink MUST remain civilian and not be used for military drone strikes.

Nah, I think striking Russia’s data centers is the straw that broke Elon’s back.
Elon Musk has made it clear from the very beginning that Starlink is for peaceful use, not long-range drone strikes. He deserves enormous credit for helping Ukraine stay connected through this war. His Starlink support was a major factor in why Ukraine was NOT overrun by Russia.

Elon Musk claims he throttled Starlink to enforce "civilian terms of service" because Ukraine used it on drones. But the 100 mph speed cap hit Starshield, the military network explicitly cleared for defense. The civilian excuse doesn't hold up when you look at what Ukraine actually hit, they used long-range drones to successfully strike and cripple Russia's AI data centers. This wasn't about civilian rules, it was a political choice to protect Russian tech assets.
Elon Musk is accusing Ukraine of using Starlink to carry out offensive drone strikes "to kill people," defending restrictions that disrupted Ukrainian military operations for more than a week. The SpaceX CEO claims Ukraine violated the satellite service's terms of use, insisting the technology was never intended to support offensive attacks. Musk also argues that SpaceX has done more to defend Ukraine than any other private company, while warning that shutting off Starlink entirely would cause the country's front line to collapse. See what Musk says about the restrictions and who he claims controls them in the full story: foxnews.com/politics/ukraine…

Starlink taken from Musk and needs to be nationalized. It is a US Dept of Defense system. We paid for it. We own it. We should dictate how it operates.
Elon Musk: “Ukraine military violated Starlink terms of service and used it for offensive drone strikes to kill people. That loophole was closed last week” “Were Starlink to be turned off, the Ukrainian front line would collapse immediately.”

Elon Musk really believes that his internal model of the world is reality and anything that contradicts it is a conspiracy against him. This is the result of a malignant narcissist engineering the world around himself to reinforce his paranoid delusions. He is acutely psychotic.
In his 1960 pamphlet entitled “THE INTERNATIONAL CONSPIRACY TO ESTABLISH A WORLD DICTATORSHIP AND THE MENACE TO SOUTH AFRICA,” Joshua Haldeman displayed the precise psychosis displayed by his grandson Elon Musk—who is now purchasing parts of the David Ellison empire. He’s nuts.

Exactly! To be extremely clear, no matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals. I am simply stating that, without Starlink, the Ukrainian lines would collapse, as the Russians can jam all other communications! We would never do such a thing or use it as a bargaining chip.
