The first time I fine-tuned a model was to my help kid with a science fair project to use an image model to classify cereal or marshmallows a handful of years ago. You just have to decide what your marshmallow is.

Finishing off #ato2026 strong with @BekahHW talking about training your own AI coding model!

This was an “a ha” moment. You don’t fine tune to do less bad stuff. You fine tune to define and reinforce *positive behaviors*. You are teaching and creating the behaviors you want to see rather than micromanaging the particular outcomes you want. #ato2026

There was so much information about how to define you base evals, judgement matrix, data pipelines, and how to trigger the actual fine tuning. Definitely check out @BekahHW blog about it! #ato2026 papercompute.com/blog/a-begi…

So glad to have a chance to catch the epic @TasonJorres giving his amazing Mister Torres Neighborhood talk about “When Information Isn’t Enough”. This is an experience you have to feel in person. #ato2026

Very excited for this presentation from Arianna Haradon from GitLab at #ato2026, about building engaged communities with gamification and better user experiences!

People love climbing a ladder! Make sure your games have real prizes. You can let people have more merge privileges, real life swag prizes, or even valuable licenses! It starts with. Ashes and leaderboards but shouldn’t stop there! #ato2026

As you introduce gamification, be aware that you’ll start to have players metagaming your system as well. Make sure to build in moderation systems and ways to discourage and address abuse cases to stop your system from collapsing! #ato2026

Heading towards lunch at #ato2026 and now we’re learning how the Kiro team built a factory with Kiro Crew that helps them ship 1000 PRs in a week, with Kyle Seaman and Joe Guo!

We’ve all felt this happen. As agentic use grows, the sense that humans are the bottleneck grows with it. Maturity is learning how to clear this bottleneck without sacrificing quality. #ato2026

I loved this display of team maturity and what your next step towards the next level is. Take it one step at a time to make sure results are sustainable and systems remain affordable and maintainable. Then you can have more parallel agents working per person! #ato2026

Next up at #ato2026, we’re talking agentic memory! Getting really nerdy talking about building agents with @seldo !

There were so many tips from @seldo in this talk about building agentic memory systems. What stuck out to me is how often, for some use cases, simple and dumb was reasonably close in accuracy and far better in cost and consistency. #ato2026

This is an #ato2026 talk where you’ll want to read the corresponding blog as well! Check out @seldo lessons building agentic memory at: arize.com/blog/alyx-agent-lo…

I’ve wanted to catch this talk for so long! The one and only @techgirl1908 telling us at #ato2026 that our lack of AI results is a skill issue, and how to fix it!

You can absolutely use AI to help write your skills, but make sure you’re leading and not following. Otherwise you run the risk of your skills being ineffective regurgitation of training data, instead of effective, focusing local team/personal context and preferences. #ato2026

At #ato2036, @techgirl1908 wants you to remember one thing if nothing else from her talk: your skill descriptions are the biggest part of determining your agents success in using them. Make sure to “bait” the agents to use them to ensure maximum effect!
