I‘m trying. See Article V, US Constitution.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
florida's constitution makes it balance the budget every year. washington hasn't run a surplus since 2001, and the debt passed $40 trillion in august
maybe make congress live by the same rule
They do grasp it, they just don’t have any good arguments for the explosion of property tax revenue and why taxpayers shouldn’t get this needed relief. So this is an attempt to turn people against it.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
The whole point of it being on the ballot is for the voters to decide not the state or local governments. How can they miss this point entirely??
Get rid of these programs that bring in foreign workers at the expense of young Americans.
We stopped H-1Bs at our universities in Florida and other states should follow suit.
The tech job market is collapsing for young grads
Yet universities continue to lobby to flood the job market with OPT and H-1B entry-level workers to undercut their own grads

Nice graph.
Really puts it into prospective that local governments are taking $13 billion over and above the 2019 baseline even when the baseline is increased for inflation and population growth.
A constitutional amendment is not the “state” telling local governments how to spend tax dollars.
It is an act of the people via their constitution to protect their property from excessive taxation by expanding the homestead exemption and prohibiting remaining property tax revenue from being used on non-essential items.
Taxpayers will have greater constitutional protection under Amendment 3!
Replying to @RonDeSantis
The tax break is great but how do you reconcile the fact that Amendment 3 lets the state mandate how local tax dollars are spent? If the people in charge of spending my tax dollars are grifting, I want the ability to mobilize my community and vote them out of office. Amendment 3 eliminates my voice in the matter. What happened to having the people closest to the issues deciding for themselves how best to address those issues?
We’ve reduced the state budget four years in a row — it can be done!
Our people need and deserve to have more of their money stay in their pockets instead of sending more of it to local government!

Before voters raised the homestead exemption five-fold (from $5k to $25k) in 1980, many said the sky would fall.
It didn‘t.
Nice!

our first time voting in Florida after leaving our sad state of California (where their voting is RIGGED) ! I bring red votes with me and voting YES on 3 !!!!!!!!

$32 billion — the amount of property tax revenue extracted by local governments in 2019.
$49 billion — the amount local governments would take in for 2026 if the 2019 baseline had been maintained with increases for population growth and inflation.
$62 billion — the actual amount local governments are taking from the people in property taxes in 2026.
$84 billion — the amount local governments will take from taxpayers in 2031 based on current trajectory.
Yes on 3 — the only way to protect taxpayers and put money back in people’s pockets.
go see the World Baseball Classic at Loan Depot. Amazing.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
The Trop and LoanDepot park are 2 of just 4 MLB baseball parks I haven’t visited yet. Clearly a Florida baseball swing is needed in 2027.
FSD is very liberating for the elderly.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
FSD is transformational and will be an amazing utility, especially for those only marginally able to drive.
The elderly especially will benefit from it.
FSD will eventually be credited with saving a lot of lives of teenage drivers in particular.
Good point.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
When I leave the Trop, I’m in beautiful St. Petersburg. He leaves and he’s in…Oakland 🤷🏼♀️
And that’s with most people still not having a clue about FSD.
As more people get exposed to it those numbers will keep rising.
Well, there 28 stadiums that won’t be hosting any World Series games, so I’ll take what we have…
Replying to @RonDeSantis
Sorry buddy. But now that the A’s are out of Oakland, the Trop is the worst venue in baseball.
I know for sure I’ve quoted “Seminole Wind” in at least one of my inaugurals and at least one state of the state.
Replying to @RonDeSantis
Governor @RonDeSantis , few songs capture the soul of Florida like John Anderson’s “Seminole Wind.” From the Everglades to our Seminole heritage, it tells a story uniquely ours…
It’s time to make this Florida classic our official state song!

Amendment 3 is about people. It is about you, your family, and protecting the homes and futures of millions of people in Miami-Dade County and across Florida.
Your home represents years of sacrifice, the memories you have made, and the life you have built. Families deserve relief and the peace of mind of knowing they can afford to stay in their homes.
As a husband, father, and homeowner, this is personal to me. Our families are not an unlimited bank account. Government must manage money responsibly and respect the people paying the bills.
That is why I support Amendment 3 and ask you to vote YES. In Miami-Dade, mark 254 on your ballot. Your home. Your family. Your future.
Tu hogar. Tu familia. Tu futuro.
