In Italy, parents typically send their kids to daycare from 8:30am to 4:30pm. These are kids age 2-6. Eight hours a day. For a toddler. This is purely to cover the taxes the family has to pay to the state. If there were no taxes, one parent could stay home and still have a relationship with their own children and raise them. Regular legal school begins at age 6 and is only five hours per day, after which parents typically send their kids to “homework help” for several hours, obviously so the parent can work. Insanity. Income tax is another insidious way that the state gains the power to raise your kids. Normal schooling with reasonable hours is one thing, this is another level.

Here's how to create a simple 12 word bitcoin seed using Seedsigner and dice.
Its filmed in real time with a timer running so you can see the entire process & how long it takes
Do you really think this is too hard, or too much trouble for you to secure your family's future?
They don't want you to know you can do this. How hard is it really and how long does it take?
I've seen a lot of aggressive fear porn raging against the idea that people can or will roll dice to generate a seed - I was curious how long it'd take to sit there and do the process from beginning to end...
I turned up some music loud and went into an adjoining room with no electronics. The music both masks the dice roll and keyboard entry sounds, and is fun to listen to.
Results: It takes about 4 minutes to roll a 12-word seed phrase and enter it into a Seedsigner. Skill level - kindergarten
I was able to go through everything below in 75 minutes
🎲 roll three unique 12-word seed phrases
✅ load them into seedsigner,
✅ Verify the fingerprints
✅ Verify the words
✅ Write down the words
✅ Export xpubs into Sparrow
✅ Create a watch-only multisig wallet over airgap between Sparrow and Seedsigner
✅ Receive testnet coins from the @mempool faucet
✅ Create a batch transaction sending back the coins to the faucet as well as another 2 wallets in Sparrow
✅ Send he tx over airgap back to the Seedsigner for the first signature,
✅ Sending the partially signed PSBT back to Sparrow to display the next PSBT QR,
✅ Sending the fully signed PSBT back to Sparrow and finally
✅ Broadcasting
And I did this all before Widespread Panic could even finish the first set of the concert! I basically started rolling dice at Stop-Go, and was done before the end of One By One.
Note: transactions all sent on testnet4. (Both Sparrow and Seedsigner were also set to Testnet/4.)

I’ve lost bitcoin, and had it stolen, and also bought dumb stuff with it and sold it at the wrong times. All in the early days.
Big moment for me was in 2020 reloading the blockchain with my old bitcoinqt wallet and watching my balance rise and then fall with every stupid decision, thinking about what could have been.
I looked up from my laptop and realized my kids were right in front of me trying to get my attention, playing on the bed. I was locked in on that tx history, all of which was from before my kids were born.
Tears came to my eyes as I realized how truly rich I am, and how little that balance mattered. Hugged my kids, forgave myself, felt grateful, started looking forward.

bitcoin’s lightning network also works exactly like this when making a payment
Mathematics, Physics.

The worst: most never cared and the ones that did gave up. It's been a year+ now and the fact that the freaking football league controls the internet is accepted by society.

I am running interviews of founders who chose Ruby in recent years (2022+) now for the third year. I ask 3 questions: why Ruby, what’s good, what’s bad/missing, and share the findings with the Ruby community globally in talks and keynotes. Who should I talk to this time?

Attacking savers is attacking the very foundation of civilization. Savings are deferred consumption—seed corn for future harvests. To tax “unproductive” wealth is to punish patience, to criminalize the act of preserving value across time.
Bitcoin is not idle. It is a protest against monetary decay, a silent strike against systems that confiscate value through inflation and coercion. The state labels it “unproductive” because it cannot be inflated, controlled, or seized at whim. But productivity is not measured in obedience to flawed fiscal dogma.
Sound money is productivity. It is the bedrock of honest trade, the anchor for intergenerational planning, the immune system against economic cancer. By taxing Bitcoin, they tax time itself—the ultimate heresy in a world addicted to printing tomorrow’s wealth today.
Do not mistake this for mere policy. It is a confession. A confession that the old system cannot compete with open, neutral, unforgeable scarcity. That savers choosing Bitcoin threaten the illusion of control.
But Bitcoin cannot be outlawed. Every attack on it is a lesson, another brick in the cathedral of sovereign individualism. The rabbit hole deepens.
Stack sats. Run nodes. Hold keys. The Lindy effect is not kind to fragile fiscal fantasies.

Newcomers to Bitcoin may not understand why old timers care so much about Ross Ulbricht. Let me explain.
He embodied the ethos of early Bitcoin more than anyone. He was an entrepreneur who created a thriving marketplace.
He believed in radical freedom, including the freedom to trade anything with anyone else so long as it was peaceful and voluntary.
He regularly wrote about his views on freedom and why he built the first truly successful Bitcoin business - the Silk Road. He wanted to created a better world and believed his principles deeply.
Politicians like Schumer targeted both Silk Road AND Bitcoin as criminal enterprises that needed to be shut down.
When he was convicted the judge and the establishment threw the book at him. He was a first time, non violent criminal and they locked him up and effectively threw away the key.
In the early Bitcoin community we all felt how unjust this was. It was like they were locking up one of our own out of spite for what we all believed was a peaceful revolution.
Now tens of millions of people own Bitcoin and many just because of Number Go Up. Never forget there was a deeper purpose here and that getting rich is a nice side effect of that greater purpose.
Fix the money, fix the world.

Money is its own utility. A serious observation of monetary history and how their values rise and fall over time would make this very clear.
Not only is being money a utility, it's THE greatest utility of any economic network, because the network isn't sustainable without it.
It's actually the very same as saying the internet has no utility because it is intangible and doesn't itself hold any of the data, it only establishes connections between computers.

The more that is spent, the worse it gets, because the money doesn’t go to the homeless, it goes to the hundreds of “charities” that then treat the homeless as sources of revenue.
The more homeless there are, the more money these organizations get, so their incentive is to increase, not decrease, homelessness!
Whatever you incentivize will happen.
