Federal Liberal MP Jennifer McKelvie was the deputy mayor of Toronto under Olivia Chow.
After working closely with Chow, McKelvie is endorsing Brad Bradford.
Tells you something.
Toronto, we have two days left to vote for change.
Thank you to my friend and former Deputy Mayor of Toronto @mckelvieAJAX for backing our plan to get Toronto moving, keep taxes down and make our streets safer.
Now, let’s finish strong. Get your friends, family and everyone you know out to vote on Monday.
Will go down as one of the stupidest premiers in Canadian history and thats a pretty high bar. He serves as a stark warning to any politician who thinks its a great idea to call an early election “for the benefit of the people”.

This decision by the @TorontoStar to endorse no one—rather than @OliviaChow as many had expected—speaks volumes.
Their headline that ‘#Toronto needs a mayor for all Torontonians’ is a strong rebuke of the division & hate @OliviaChow has allowed to spread across our city over the last 3 years. thestar.com/opinion/editoria…

No endorsement from the Toronto Star is which telling about how it feels about Mayor Chow and her record.
There’s always an element of the unknown with change. But the incumbent is well known, 40 years in public office, and the Star is saying it’s time for a change

Wow. Interesting. I don’t think i recall this happening, at least for a while. Even our left-leaning newspapers know it would be a big mistake.
No Toronto newspaper endorsed Chow. Those who did endorsed Bradford.

Huge statement for the Toronto Star to not endorse the sitting Mayor.
When that paper has seen 3 1/2 years of Olivia Chow, & simply cannot advocate for 4 more of them - it’s quite an indictment.
GO VOTE MONDAY.

Global News should note much more prominently that this poll was commissioned by CUPE Local 416 (Toronto Civic Employees’ Union), who have formally endorsed Chow as their preferred candidate

Enough said. Choose wisely on October 26.
It is one of the most incredible own goals I have ever seen in politics. You have to watch the clips to believe them.
It's the culmination of two months of debates between @BradMBradford and @oliviachow when last night, mayor Olivia Chow revealed something so vital about her own leadership.
She said:
"At some point, you need to take a stand. You have to say this is what I believe in. Yes or No. It is tough, but that's what leadership is about."
Here is what Olivia Chow believes in, apparently.

You need to watch this highlight from last night’s final Toronto mayoral debate.
Mayor Olivia Chow had one chance to ask Brad Bradford anything she wanted. Any issue facing the city. There are so many legitimate topics to debate.
But she wastes the opportunity. She lies and fear-mongers about Bradford’s straightforward plan to modernize how Toronto handles a basic service. @BradMBradford met the question with the exact response the moment required (paraphrased below for brevity):
“Mayor Chow, you know that’s not true, and I think that is below you, because I think you’re a good person. I think it’s below the office of mayor. It is not even possible to privatize water here in the province of Ontario.”
Why is the mayor @oliviachow resorting to these fear tactics instead of presenting a positive vision for the city?
Brad Bradford says that at the current pace of construction it would take 150 years for Olivia Chow to deliver on a campaign commitment she made in 2023 to build 65,000 new units of affordable housing by 2030.
“Today only 1,500 have been delivered. That is a mere two per cent of her target, of her commitment to Torontonians,” he said.

Raised by a single mom in Hamilton. Google engineer. Peter Thiel’s math guy. Founding partner of 8VC.
“8VC is 8VC because of Alex.” I was told.
I spent months reporting his story in SF, Palo Alto and Orange County, talking with founders and the people who knew him at Clarium, Mithril and 8VC.

- Peter Thiel playing blindfolded chess
- Turning down Geoffrey Hinton’s lab twice
- Dreaming about oil

Chow getting absolutely cooked in this @CP24 debate.
Defends a housing record that hit 2% of her own target. Defends the biggest tax hikes in a generation.
Fail on safety
Bradford is landing every punch.
Toronto is watching. It’s not pretty.

I now live in Toronto and was not going to comment on the Mayoral race until the Chow campaign turned very negative in the last two weeks. That negativity turned up in my mailbox today. It leads me to share my strong public support for Brad Bradford for many reasons. 1/4

Boom
Brad Bradford says Olivia Chow’s dismissal of his plan to conduct a third-party line-by-line audit of city finances is “the same can’t do attitude we hear time and time again from this mayor.”
“Our own auditor general found that the city spent $11 million on Microsoft Office licenses for people who retired, it spent $5 million on stickers on recycling bins to tell you we don’t pick up the recycling,” he says. “There is lots of things that we can save.”

The retiring mayor of Guelph is calling out Olivia Chow's lies about Bradford's water plan.
What Bradford is proposing exists in other municipalities across Ontario and the rest of Canada.
BTW, no one can call Cam Guthrie a Conservative.
Nice guy, good mayor, not a Conservative.
Replying to @LWaler
The provincial legislation literally does not allow privatization. It must stay public. And, the entire reasons for this program is to make housing and economic development costs lower to make those very things more affordable for people.
