I take back my freeze it answer. This was the right answer all along. 😂

I don’t know the answer to the small quantities, but I end up with the same situation for recipes. Freeze it in a food saver bag. Enjoy it forever.

I often think the difference between my childhood and my kid’s is how close I was to the sources of production versus how distant those experiences are for them.
As a kid holding a bowl of rice, I thought of my grandparents kneeling in the rice paddies, not the grocery store.
Holding a plastic toy, I pictured the injection molding machine running day and night at the shop across the street, not Toys “R” Us. We collected still-hot defective parts straight from the molds as toys.
Cooking chicken thighs, I recalled how long it took Grandma to slaughter and clean them, not Costco packaging.
Holding a glass bottle, I thought of the old man on the corner recycling them on his tricycle back to the factory.
Production happened around us; we saw the effort required to get things to the table.
That closeness bred gratitude for food, clothes, and shoes because they were tied to people we knew.

I'm waiting for this one: "I'll thank you for your vote, get right on that Congressional health policy while not fixing yours. Then I'll go to a few luncheons and realize, 'Damn, it's time to campaign for re-election...'" And before you know it... it'll be next term.
Honesty. That's what I'll vote for. Write the campaign jingle, Joe!

I just canceled some streaming. Finally had to call in because we couldn't find the genesis of The Bundle.

I liked @poteto 's post where people dropped in what they were doing. I had my bot make me a document, separate out the engineering, then skim the list for "for me" things.
I'd love to see a running doc of what the world's doing.

Looked at this nonsense and thought, "At least @WilliamShatner 's '50% off chocolate day' is coming in 2-ish weeks.
The plan: put the 50% off Halloween candy in the Christmas stockings. That works.

Yes, the $10 Christmas candy is next to the row of $8.99 "hell no" Halloween candy at my local Walgreens. It's enough to resurrect the Grinch.

I have the ideas, just not the film skills, hahaha. I'm willing to come on board as a screenwriter. You'll have to pick me up at the airport with your new license...

This is fascinating. The book translation is interesting. I studied overseas for a while and didn't understand the text. I found a street vendor with the English version sent by God to me. I hid it and guarded it with my life.

Indeed. We used to go get the fresh glazed donut when the light was on.
Now: we go to an artisan guy two towns away. He hand fills your donut with fresh cream/fruit from the back. We get birthday donuts instead of cakes these days.
I've been looking for The Guy in as many of these areas as possible.
I didn't even get a regular Tesla yet--when I test drove, the charging infrastructure wasn't there yet. Now, my state (which incentivized electric) realized they're not getting the equivalent gas tax... and... guess what? Taxes coming:(
Must say--the test drive experience was the coolest. They sell themselves. Other cars: "You're not back and it's been 15 minutes." Tesla, "Take it for a couple hours. Every one. Then, come back and sign it out overnight." Best experience ever! (cc @radbackwards)
(BTW, Shrinkflation Lords... I can make way better junk food, including candy, from scratch. For pennies on the dollar).
Joe, put all Halloween candy on your Dorito/mayo index. @TheStalwart
