Animal Cruelty
What do you do when your tax funded city shelter commits continued abuse against the animals in their care?
#RisaWeinstock use of Transfer Door Only (TDO)
This is being used for dogs w/o a bite history
Dogs whom have never been on a DOH Hold
Dogs are made to suffer everyday by the management & behaviorists at NYCACC. No exercise, no interaction, no enrichment. Driven slowly insane from a barbaric practice because NYCACC is incapable of offering humane alternatives. A system filled w/ incompetence & apathy. Dead or alive does not matter as long as they leave.
Today NYCACC networked 1 dog & 1 cat from their shelter on social media. How is this acceptable? And even then these 2 animals did not appear on every account.
Rice Cake
Kill Command
Is a victim of this practice
#FostersSaveLives
Her name is Rice Cake
This is her 2nd time at NYCACC
She lived in a zoo
Active w/ many doggie friends
She is soooooo bored at NYCACC

They will Kill her for their failure, an inability to keep her "busy". Rice Cake is smart, so loving but she is active. 23.5 hrs in a cage is torture.
Will we save her? IDK
But she deserves a long, good life

🚨 Last call for puppy Grayson, given a kill command w/o ever being listed. Just a puppy, only 7 months old. Playful, previously lived w/ kids & a dog. Loves toys. Needs a hero.
Grayson is a 7️⃣ MONTH old puppy boy who was surrendered to the Queens Pound in NYC 4️⃣ days ago…he’s 4️⃣6️⃣ pounds of sweetness💞💞
Grayson lived w/children & 🐕 in his previous 🏡 Needs a 🚫👶👧👦 🏡

“Puppies are the joy in my life, the sunshine in my soul, and the best part of every day. They turn ordinary moments into magic, fill my heart with unconditional love, and remind me that happiness can be as simple as a wagging tail, a tiny kiss, and a warm cuddle- Me"

Parma R is beloved by Volunteers
Many were shocked he was an adoption return
After all who could be so ignorant to mess up this amazing boy?
He is active, intelligent, devoted & loving
Just need the right home
The clock is ticking....
Puppies jump and demand attention and who doesn’t love that sweet puppy breath? 🐾
Some adopters don’t realize an 8-month-old still acts like a puppy.
🐾 Parma Reggiano | 8 months | ID 264824 | Manhattan ACC
ℹ️ Bio: nycacc.app/#/browse/264824
🚨 #RescueOnly
He was trial-adopted and dumped for simply being an excitable puppy. 💔 An irresponsible adopter and a vetting failure left him #RescueOnly. His bio has a new video showing how sweet he is.
New video + Rescue Only = out of time fast. 🎯
If you love puppies, foster free (VA–ME): DM @CathyPolicky

🚨MICHAEL’S FINAL 48 HOURS — DON’T LET CANCER TAKE HIM
Michael needs a miracle today. He is battling cancer, and tomorrow could be his final day—not because he isn’t loved, but because his critical medical fees haven’t been cleared yet. Look at him resting his head, so trusting and gentle, holding onto hope.
❤️🩹Michael has only 48 HOURS left and is scheduled for euthanasia through no fault of his own. The shelter cannot provide the cancer treatment he desperately needs—but we can, if we act right now.
