Ok I admit I did not have 'SpaceX rewrites aviation control software to launch more' on my bingo card.
This company does not take no for an answer it's truly something else...
In a comment to the FAA, SpaceX says it wants to launch 10,000 times per year.
The FAA asked for input on where to build new spaceports and how to give rocket launches priority in US airspace. They're preparing for 10,000 launches a year by 2035.
SpaceX replied that rockets aren't the bottleneck anymore, the FAA's outdated air traffic processes are. They created their own airspace tool (Cleared) that most major US airlines already get for free.
They also noted that Starbase Louisiana is designed for ~30 launches and reentries PER DAY (!!)
Without ever asking, @Muse prompted me today that it noticed how a newsletter I subscribe to ( @stratechery ) has come to a similar conclusion as I have.
It recognized everything I’ve been building the past 3 years and my theses on where this is all going.
StarDeck is my personal OS, a collection of apps and APIs which work together on various devices.
Pastlight Theater is a classic film rating app I built for my father and I, which I eventually made into a 3D-printed digital movie poster frame powered by a raspberry pi.
The insights derived by proactive agents make computing feel magical again. The general public has no idea what’s about to hit them…
Hot take: Every platform needs to offer everything.
The next round of winning aggregators will be AI agents. More vertical integration = more value for users.
• Grok Bots integrated X data for free.
• Grok is the best at using X data.
• Muse is best situated to use Facebook/Instagram data.
This trend will continue…
This is like paying for VS Code at this point.
You don’t need to pay
for a front end or an IDE.
I just paid $400 once for Final Cut Pro and used it for a DECADE
but Apple has been slooooowly dripping more and more features behind the subscription version in Apple "Creator Studio"
... and I think they're finally about to get me to pay ($129/yr) with this latest update. MotionVFX built-in

some exciting tech news this morning — anduril is building the first american-made computer in 20 years
Today, @anduriltech and @qualcomm announced a new laptop that will eventually be 100% made in America, a “first step” toward creating a market for U.S.-manufactured components and total technological self-sufficiency.
Building computers in America should be a matter of “national pride,” says @PalmerLuckey.

democrats: if we take power we will seize elon musk's companies and put him in prison and no, we do not care if he technically committed any crime or not
also democrats, somehow: why is elon musk funding republicans?
Doom scrolling but games.
Totally agree.
Netflix introduced creator content.
Disney is hosting short form.
IG is now doing long form.
Every single platform will support creator long form x short form.
They are all competing for net attention. YouTube is winning this big time currently on a long time horizon.
Games will be next at some point. Vibe coding is going to do to gaming what short form did to video. It sounds insane, but I think we will be encountering games on our scroll soon.

Utterly bizarre the Dems are openly arguing Starlink -should- be used for war.
After Elon Musk posted on X saying he had throttled Ukraine’s use of Starlink after it was used for offensive attacks, House Armed Services Committee member Rep. Jason Crow (D-CO) says the billionaire’s ability to wield that power is “beyond disturbing to me.”
“It cannot and should not be the case that a tech oligarch, a private citizen, who has that much control over our national security, who is unaccountable, who is unelected, with zero transparency, is making life and death decisions on the battlefield in systems that our service members and our partners and allies rely upon,” he adds.
I’ve been using the phrase “ChatGPT is my PC” since 2023 on various platforms.
Today the GOATs at @sharptechpod said it.
It’s not just the OS, it’s also the compute. It’s literally a personal computer.
