Totally agree. Syrians won’t and should not accept this nonsense that is being shoved in their throats. Progress moves forward, not backwards.
I’m genuinely glad to see the fierce, constructive pushback against Syria’s “new” curriculum! It is backward, dangerous, and completely detached from who Syrians actually are. It caters to hardline Islamist ideas at a time when school should be our best tool to prevent radicalization! If you want to see what real national unity looks like, look at how Jordan responded to the brutal terror attack on the Christian community in Hammoud, Karak. King Abdullah II drew a hard line on equal citizenship, stating clearly that all Jordanians are “partners in land and fate, and nothing stands between them.” He made it clear that anyone trying to divide the nation with bullets has zero chance against a united people! The response from Jordanian society was just as powerful! Prominent tribal leaders- like Sheikh Mohammed Jalal Al-Qallab Al-Amoush of the Bani Hassan tribe- spoke out immediately! He declared the attack completely alien to Jordanian values and Islam, stressing that the bullets aimed at Karak weren’t just aimed at Christians- they were an attack on every single Jordanian and the Kingdom’s stability! That is real leadership. That is the exact blueprint Syria needs! Syria belongs to all Syrians, regardless of sect or religion. A national curriculum should use Syria’s rich, diverse history to bring a fractured society together! Instead, authorities are trying to push "Taliban-lite" ideas that were basically unheard of in authentic Syrian culture before Daesh and the SNA. Children are the future of the country, not ideological tools. Throw this curriculum in the garbage where it belongs, and start over!

This has been the default relationship between Muslims and XNs in Syria, which is the opposite of the perception in the U.S.
Pic painted in Syria 50 yrs ago represented a reality then & desire now. Some people say Muslims & XNs can’t coexist, said same thing about XNs & Jews. We can & must. W/ 2.3B XNs & 2B Muslims we have no choice - extremist in religions can’t be allowed to determine our future!

Decentralization is a core component of new warfare in the times of AI-operated drones
FORTRESS: The Pentagon is preparing every major U.S. military base to survive 90 days without outside support — no civilian power grid, no global supply chains, no outside fuel or water. The initiative, revealed in documents reviewed by Fox News Digital, envisions portable nuclear reactors, massive battery storage, and microgrids that can disconnect installations from civilian electricity entirely. Strategic reserves of munitions, fuel, critical minerals, and medical supplies would be stockpiled based on wartime consumption rates. Civilian factories are being pre-identified to shift to defense production during a crisis. Pentagon chief spokesperson Sean Parnell put it bluntly: "Power is combat now. Without electricity, you lose communications, water, logistics, assembly lines and just basic military command structures." Full story here foxnews.com/politics/inside-…

If you don’t know about the Circassian genocide, here’s a short history. The Circassians (شراكس بالعربية ) came from the northwest Caucasus, a land of high peaks, forests, and river valleys stretching from the Black Sea coast to the Kuban River, with Mount Elbrus above it. In 1864, after a century of war with the Russian Empire, most of them were killed or forced from their homeland. Hundreds of thousands died in massacres, from hunger and disease, or at sea crossing to the Ottoman Empire. Many of the survivors settled in the Golan Heights because its hills reminded them of the mountains they’d lost. They founded Quneitra and many villages around it. For more than 150 years, like the Armenians, Albanians, Bosnians, Turkmen, and many other refugees, they’ve kept their language and culture alive. They are proud Circassian Syrians. 🇸🇾 #CircassianGenocide #May21
The flag in the second pic is the Circassian flag. 1.5 million Circassians were exterminated by the Russians during the Circassian genocide in the late 18th century, and their country eradicated. Hundreds of Circassian families fled the genocide and settled in Syria’s Golan Heights and Jordan. The Golani Circassians were forcibly displaced from their homes by Israel during the Six-Day War in 1967 and to this day, their homes remain under Israeli occupation.

Totally. Tokyo is the cleanest, the most hospitable and interesting city in the world.
It is a rare miracle in human history that Tokyo, a massive metropolis with a population of 30 million, is clean and safe throughout, with virtually no slums or dangerous districts.

These terrorist acts don’t happen out of vacuum. We have seen this movie before many time before especially during the Syrian conflict. - They horrendous acts of violence against civilians, especially against minorities, often carry threats from a neighboring or distant country aimed at someone else, not necessarily the place where the attack occurred. - Public claims of responsibility are frequently a smoke screen or wag-the dog move. - Timing and geopolitical context usually offer the clearest clues about the real actors - These incidents can signal something worse to come. - ISIS remains a convenient tool for governments and intelligence agencies that want to send messages. - Extremist ideologies and brainwashed individuals exist and they need to be addressed differently, but they are not the full story.
HORRIFIC: A new video captures the moment terrorists stormed St. George’s Church in Hamoud, Al-Karak, and opened fire on Christians inside.

Every person of conscience and faith must condemn this horrific act of terrorism. These brainwashed criminals share none of the values we hold. We stand with the Christian community of the Karak Church & with Jordan, and we pray for the healing of the victims and their families.
BREAKING: At least six people killed and 28 others wounded after a shooting in Jordan’s Karak governorate that saw gunmen open fire during a funeral at a church. Read aje.news/0wymgc

A global coalition for Sudan launched at @MedGlobalOrg conference in Chicago
A Conference That Led to Action: Introducing the Global Coalition for Sudan One of the most significant outcomes of MedGlobal’s 2026 Conference & Gala was the launch of the Global Coalition for Sudan, bringing together seven humanitarian and faith-based organizations with one shared mission: strengthening the humanitarian response to Sudan’s devastating crisis. Founded by MedGlobal, SAPA, Humaniti, MedSudan, Africa Relief, Multi-Faith Neighbors Network, and GlocalNet, the coalition was officially launched in the presence of H.E. Professor Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, Federal Minister of Health of Sudan, and his delegation. Through stronger coordination, information-sharing, joint humanitarian efforts, and advocacy, the coalition aims to bring organizations together to support Sudan’s response and recovery, with a goal of growing to more than 50 participating organizations over the next year. This is what Collaboration for Good looks like in action. Moving beyond conversations, building meaningful partnerships, and working together to make a lasting difference for the people of Sudan. #MedGlobal #GlobalCoalitionForSudan #Sudan #SudanCrisis #HumanitarianAction #CollaborationForGood #MedGlobal2026

The Russians tortured 500 people in Bucha. The Russians tortured children in Bucha. The Russians tortured dogs in Bucha. The Russians killed animals in Bucha. In Bucha, the Russians used military vehicles to hunt people—turning it into a game. People ran, the Russians fired, they hunted them down, playing games. And this didn’t just happen in Bucha. Trump and his mafia gang call this "humanitarian." What do you call it?
Bucha. It was a genocide, recognized by everyone. They buried hundreds of people. They tortured people. We found the grave. There were, I believe, around 500 people. When we liberated those towns near Kyiv, there emerged this, you know, this kind of hatred for the Russians, right at that moment. Not even at the moment when they started the full-scale war. Back then nobody understood what it really was yet. People understood what this war was and what Putin did personally when we found those mass graves of tortured adults, children. I mean they didn't just kill them, they tortured and killed them. When we liberated Bucha, I said, bring every journalist here. Don't touch anything, just bring the journalists. The whole world simply has to see this. Imagine finding a mass grave in the U.S. or in Britain, God forbid, with 500 tortured people, adults, kids, dogs, animals shot dead. I mean, they held hunting sprees there from military vehicles. People were running, they were shooting, just hunting, playing games. They literally just played with people, like slavery. So how, after this, can you listen to Putin? And how, after this, can you forgive? From The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett. (2/3)

#France has reported the first documented case of a human infection with #Shamonda virus, a virus only previously detected in animals. The patient was immunocompromised, which made them more vulnerable to infection and severe disease, and unfortunately died. My heartfelt condolences to their loved ones. Shamonda virus primarily affects animals such as cattle, sheep, goats and horses. The virus is thought to spread between animals by the bites of a midge, which is a small fly-like insect. Further studies are needed to fully understand transmission. The French patient was in an area where the Shamonda virus was circulating in animals and where Culicoides midges were also present. @WHO is in contact with French authorities who are collecting information to better understand the source of infection in the first human patient, possible routes of transmission and any potential risk to public health.
