A) India venture missing early winners in likes of Ather, Skyroot was a generational fumble.
B) Appetite for DeepTech today is 10x higher than what it was just couple of years ago.
C) DeepTech succeeding is not at the expense of any other sector and can mutually co-exist
D) We still have a long way to go and need to do a much better job of supporting founders & taking more bold risks.
…all 4 things can be true at once…
contrary to my recent posts (being homebound leads to quirky thots) - I also want to spend time learning more abt inference, edge computing and what that looks like in this day and age.
some thoughts from a @CotaCapital sesh on the same, wanted to share ⤵️
lastly - and the most relatable point - but the biggest gap in agentic AI may be deployment. Some people already use agents to produce substantial work; others are still figuring out the workflows.
Better tools matter, but so do training and more repeatable ways of working - which a lot of teams are already working on!
thanks Cota, @veerbhanX and Vikram for the session! I need to attend more of these / read more on this so pls send any recs on the same my way tpot 📣📣

Tweeting is a healthy way to fire off your thoughts. If they stay in your brain they will mold and rot your psyche. Instead you can slowly destroy the minds of those who deserve it (Twitter users)

read more fiction
My mind has found so much respite in reading a good book. A good fiction book, that is. I hate men screaming at me on how to live my life. That's a nonfiction self-help book. A good fiction book (if the writer has suffered and is good at describing human nature) cures you so deeply and so thoroughly that the boring platitudes of an Atomic Habits can't touch it. Don't get me wrong. The latter is great reference material for the gooner cucks of our century who need to be rescued from the black pit of the bottom. But if you're not that and only have mid-level and largely doing well (or on the trajectory to do well), it's a John Steinbeck or a James Baldwin who will do more more for you than a James Clear (and I'm saying this with so much respect for Clear btw). I find that self-help nonfiction is good for a certain Type-A individual who follows orders and fits neatly into an institution. But its not good for a low status, neurotic rebel. What will save him is the fucking story. The story will tell him he's not alone. It will remind him that other cerebral fucks before him have confronted the complexity of life and then through engaging with it have relaxed their sphincter in a big way.
Read stories.
I think this made the rounds a few months ago but I love this piece - walks you through what feels like a normal apartment today but highlights how every piece of what we consider daily life was once considered impossible, magic even. (link below)
