A wonderful 1996 tomboy-era Chan Marshall performance of “Nude as the News”. The drummer in this clip is Steve Shelley from Sonic Youth. He was an early adopter and promotor of Chan, he very much helped launch her career in various ways. Cute little sitch.

DANA CARVEY always felt like the most deranged SNL cast member. I can't imagine anyone else coming up with a character like MASSIVE HEAD WOUND HARRY. He's the greatest.
