A lot of people still don't realise farmers are penalised for having wildlife habitat on their land. If we want the haemorrhage of nature to stop, this insane policy has to stop. That includes giving farmers the option of being paid to rewild.

1/2) A strange, depressing feeling to be entering into a new CAP cycle, & after all the rhetoric about encouraging farmers to support nature, we're still penalized for having left this large native woodland intact. The Dept of Ag has marked it as ineligible because it's "trees".
