Just returned from an exciting week at the Neutrino Oscillation Workshop #NOW2026 organized by @INFN_ @unibait @unisalento where I presented the first searches for Beyond Standard Model physics with neutrinos at the @SBNDdetector. Slides available at: agenda.infn.it/event/50058/c…
We submitted our paper to arXiv on how we fabricated and installed wavelength-shifter-reflecting plates to enhance the light yield in SBND! This was quite an engineering challenge to manufacture ~40 m2 of these plates! You can find more about it here arxiv.org/abs/2606.26284
One detector, multiple neutrino fluxes? Because SBND sits 110 m from the BNB target, neutrinos arrive at angles ranging from 0° to ~1.6°, allowing us to sample different energy spectra across the detector. We call it SBND-PRISM. You can read about it here! journals.aps.org/prd/abstrac…
SBND collaborators presented 18 posters at the Neutrino 2026 conference! This provided an early look at what SBND will deliver over the next few years! Thank you to all the poster presenters! You have made SBND proud! Here's an SBND group photo we took! #Neutrino2026 #SBND
Last week, Linyan Wan gave the first-ever SBND talk at the Neutrino conference in Irvine, CA. SBND was featured in two of the conference's closing summary talks, with one calling it the "star of the show." So proud of this team. See you in two years, Neutrino! #Neutrino2026 #SBND

Who turned out the lights? Here at Fermilab we're not quite in the path of totality and see a maximum coverage of around 93%, but still prepared with our eclipse glasses 😎 #eclipse

#DidYouKnow Neutrinos don't leave tracks inside detectors, since they are electrically neutral. However, when neutrinos interact with matter, new charged particles are born and they leave tracks. These images show how different @Fermilab detectors “see” neutrinos.

Exciting progress for the @sbnddetector collaboration!
The @sbnddetector collaboration finished installing the cryostat top cap on its #neutrino detector this week!
Now, the team is getting ready for the next step: lifting the detector into the cryostat below!
