Replying to @neha_aisa
@neha_aisa Comrade Neha Bora Ji, Ambedkarism is neither Left nor Right. It is SAMYAK path!
Under Hon. Prakash Ambedkar Sir Ji’s leadership, VBA and our fellow Ambedkarite organisations across Maharashtra continue their struggle for marginalised communities, constitutional rights and social justice effectively.
Our movement needs principled leadership, not political opportunism. We reject caste-based superiority and ideological hypocrisy.
Ambedkarism is not a borrowed political identity, nor a bottle of black water that changes its label according to political convenience.
Dr. Babasaheb’s photograph is not a political licence. His principles demand action, dedication, commitment, accountability and conviction.
Our ideology is not for sale. Our constitutional values are not negotiable ~ Ambedkarite Rahul Gaikwad.
Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan!
@Prksh_Ambedkar
Here is the entire video of the exchange, an incomplete version of which is being circulated to determine my views on Ambedkarite politics and anti-caste struggles. I hope you will listen to the entire section.
Issuing a clarification because misrepresentation must never weaken the united fight.
The question being asked was how come certain 'Ambedkarite' or other parties win elections when you don't when both of these are said to represent marginalised groups?
Below is an attempt to explain my answer including the section which was omitted from the clip in circulation.
-- Several bourgeois parties claim to be anti-caste, celebrate Ambedkar and even call themselves Ambedkarite. They invoke Ambedkar during election campaigns yet seldom do they seem to be working towards building movements on Ambedkarite principles or serve the interest of the socially marginalised. Rather, often they appear to be working with forces that are champions of the same casteist and Manuvadi system. This is also exactly why they will not take a stand for the implementation of UGC Equity Regulation or oppose EWS Reservations amongst others because taking an anti-caste stand on these issues would cost them their elections. I don’t see how electoral successes of such parties further the cause of the marginalised sections of society
-- On the other hand, there are such parties/forces who actually strengthen the anti-caste politics by mobilising the marginalised into mass movements on the ground. They are sometimes even successful in causing breaks in history by tilting the social balance of power. In such moments, genuine representatives of anti-caste struggles get elected to the parliament who then use the institution to effectively empower the socially marginalised sections.
-- Also, answering the question on the Left's performance in Parliamentary elections:
I accept that the Left can do much better in this respect. But how do we define ‘better’? ‘Doing better’ is often interpreted as winning more seats in the parliamentary elections. But I strongly believe that being able to organise and mobilise the marginalised sections and working classes as a political force in mass movements on their own issues and achieving successes in those movements is where we need to do ‘better’. If the left does this better, electoral success that would actually be effective will follow. And, without such movements and mobilisations, no amount of electoral success will bring about any substantial change.
In this sense, the contradiction today isn’t between the ‘left’ and ‘ambedkarites’ but between those who call themselves representatives of the marginalised or the working class but are singularly focussed on winning elections and those who give primacy to political movements and see electoral successes as just a part of it. That is why, on campuses and in society at large, we see the movement-oriented Ambedkarite and Left groups fighting together and organising mass movements and raising the slogan of Jai Bheem together.
My aim in this message is to clarify my attempt to reflect upon the limitations of Left-Ambedkarite politics today and how those limitations are often wrongly conceived. Left and Ambedkarite political principles are foundational to my politics, and I don’t see either as contradictory or antagonistic and, hence, I had no intention to hold one as superior to the other. My reflections were those of an insider, and I would take all expressions of disagreement from our Ambedkarite-left comrades in the spirit of serious discussion.

This is Adv Disha Wadekar. She’s Ambedkarite She’s Dalit
The UGC Regulations itself
came into being following a six-year long legal battle in the Supreme Court of India led by Adv Disha for a petition filed by Rohith and Payals mothers.
And you have the audacity to talk about Ambedkarites not protesting against UGC roll back?
Dalit and anti caste activist, and parties work harder and longer for justice and make substantial change in society . Look what Mayawati has achieved in Northen India, VBA has achieved in Maha. They are usually boycotted by media
Because they are not previlege Savarna like you.
Disha Wadekar would be a national icon if she was Disha Bora. @WadekarDisha

Forget @neha_aisa Bora. What my years at JNU have taught me, and what my experiences in Delhi have repeatedly confirmed, is that the hostility towards Ambedkar and Ambedkarites within sections of the cultural liberal-left is neither incidental nor merely a matter of ideological disagreement. It runs much deeper: a structural antagonism, a resentment that periodically resurfaces whenever those who have historically occupied positions of intellectual and cultural authority feel secure enough to express it.
I have encountered this disdain across Delhi’s self-proclaimed liberal, Gandhian, socialist and left intellectual circles. The labels may differ, but the underlying contempt for Ambedkar, Ambedkarites and their emancipatory politics often remains remarkably consistent. Historically, many of these circles have also shared close political and cultural affinities with the Congress establishment in Delhi. Even in my interactions with people like Yogendra Yadav, I have sensed this barely concealed condescension towards Ambedkarite politics.
The fundamental contradiction is that the liberal-left can celebrate universal emancipation in the abstract while remaining deeply uncomfortable with the actual political assertion of those whose emancipation would disrupt its own inherited cultural and intellectual authority. Ambedkar is welcome as a constitutional icon, a photograph or a ceremonial reference, but Ambedkarite politics becomes inconvenient when it challenges the hierarchy of who gets to speak, interpret history and define the terms of emancipation.
So spare me the rhetoric of the 'larger struggle' if that struggle cannot accommodate Ambedkar, Ambedkarites and their historical experience of humiliation and exclusion. A politics that demands solidarity from our people while harbouring contempt for their intellectual traditions and political assertion is not emancipatory. It is simply another way of reproducing the very hierarchy it claims to oppose.

What Neha Bora must understand is that there is no need for us to “go to the slums”, “go to the protests” , because we actually live in the slums . We are from the slums . We are still connected to the slums and the epi centre of the protests is us !
The seed for the rebellion is our own lives ! Our Dalit lives!
Unlike the Communist Savarnas who “visit” the slums for mobilising cadres for their protests and movements, we stay there. Live there . And we have First class experience in solving the issues . Unfortunately we do not get that limelight what media gives to these Savarnas like Neha .
Politics is not different from our lives so that we chose to do something out of the ordinary like Neha and others .
Our life itself is political. Our individual personal life is more political than any political party out there.
It is not Neha but we Dalits who must be saying “ we know better than you “ , so stop appropriating our struggles in the name of communist politics.
Your party is sustaining only because of us . If we say FO and show our middle finger to the left, your whole communist eco system will crumble.

Somebody told me that @RajThackeray had uploaded a documentary exposing the friendship between Adani and Modi.
And all the liberals and ‘purogamis’ were going gaga over Raj Thackrey bravely taking a stand.
I looked for it all over his posts but couldn’t find it.
Uncle ne tweet delete kiya kya?
Vapis se deal ho gaya kya koi?
@ShivSenaUBT_ @NCPspeaks and @mnsadhikrut had formed an alliance during the BMC. This alliance made a lot of sense, and should have called it ‘BJP nahi toh Adani-Ambani ko hum bachaenge Aghadi’
Take a look at the photos below:
1. @PawarSpeaks half-heartedly nods along when INDIA Bloc takes an anti-Adani stand but promptly reached Gujrat to inaugurate Adani’s new plant.
2. @OfficeofUT speaks against Gujarati businessmen and their dominance in Mumbai but has the best personal relations with Adani and Ambani, to the extent where his son was found in a pre-choreographed dance at Anant Ambani’s wedding.
3. @RajThackeray heavily attacks Gujarati industrialists saying that they ruined Maharashtrian industries. Recently he also tweeted about Modi and Adani’s friendship files, but take a look at Raj Thackrey’s ‘friendship snap’ hosting Adani for Ganpati.
Are these instances enough for liberals to chuck these double-faced, Adani-Ambani-loving politicians out from their hearts or should I give more instances and expose their joint ventures and investments next?
