EL-SAYED: I get that the President takes personal offense to my first name. He doesn't mind as much when it's the Saudis who are funding his son-in-law's private equity. Doesn't seem to mind as much when it's the Qataris who are giving them a $400 million private jet. He just seems to have trouble pronouncing it when it's my name.  I don't care how he pronounces my name. I don't even care that he remembers my whole name. Because he can just go on and call me senator after November.

Pirate’s Corner on 65th is a newer pocket park on the edge of downtown Richfield. One design detail was added to help memorialize Jack Broz, a Richfield engineer who proposed the project prior to his death: the main plaza area is a little roundabout!

It’s got some basic play equipment, a fountain, and a bike fix-it station.

This is actually a condescending view of working-class people. I grew up in a working-class immigrant family and we ate at Red Lobster and The Cheesecake Factory for "fancy nights out." But even we understood that the White House should not look like the inside of a Red Lobster. Working-class people are not culturally illiterate just because their experiences are shaped by their limited means.
Does Obama not understand that to most Americans the Cheesecake Factory is a very nice and fancy restaurant?

The DFL was extremely outspoken about their opposition to metro surge. This claim that they were quiet about it is just blatantly false.
Hasan Piker calls out @MinnesotaDFL on their hypocrisy. He's fucking correct: "When some of those DFL-ers were awfully quiet about ICE coming into their state and attacking their Somali constituents, attacking all of their constituents, I was there. THEY were not. They didn't say a damn fucking thing, just like they didn't say a damn thing when Ilhan Omar was being prosecuted and persecuted by the current administration. It's people like that who are chirping about this appearance. If you're a Democrat and at this stage, leaning into insane right-wing attacks, concocted by the Republican Party, and you can't find it within yourself to at least be partisan in this moment, the least you can do is shut the fuck up. Clearly you had no problem shutting the fuck up when your colleague, your peer, another Democrat from your state was under attack by Donald Trump. You had no words to say then, but you have a lot of words to say now. Please, shut the fuck up just like how you did when Ilhan Omar's house was being raided."

Man who was not there: “I was there” I literally can’t think of a DFLer I’ve encountered who wasn’t publicly critical of Operation Metro Surge. This is simply inventing a centrist DFLer to be mad at.

The way Hasan Piker and other media millionaires have built their platforms by telling people in my isolated and anxious community that their only allies are Maoist revolutionaries makes my blood boil.
Trans voter to @AOC: Trans people in America feel like they've been abandoned by the Democratic Party, that we are a losing issue, that it's not worth defending us. What do you say to that? AOC:

Lisa Demuth doesn’t want to talk about it, but it matters: she was the lead author of a bill to ban abortion – with no exceptions for rape or incest – and to put doctors in jail. And earlier this year, she said she supports overturning the court case protecting abortion in Minnesota. As Governor, I will protect a woman’s right to make her own health care decisions in Minnesota.

This is the first time I actually agree with my opponent.
Eric Pratt, the republican running for Angie Craig's open seat in MN-02, left the AI restating his prompt on his website. "The President is not popular, so all messaging should be focused on local politics and needs." lmfao

I graduated Phi Beta Kappa. Obviously I’m still voting for @peggyflanagan.
Eight days later, her campaign acknowledged she never belonged to Phi Beta Kappa.

“My ‘I don’t think the president is a crook’ T-shirt raising a lot of questions already answered by my shirt”, tells the vice president to a town hall audience
🥴 JD struggles through surprisingly contentious CBS town hall 🥴 Vance faced a number of tough questions from audience members and from Tony Dokoupil during exchanges like this: JD VANCE: The biggest reason why gas prices are so high is because when Joe Biden ... DOKOUPIL: It's almost been two years. At a certain point it becomes your economy, not Biden's economy Here's a supercut of Vance having a hard time explaining the sluggish economy, Trump's corruption, why the US hasn't already won the Iran war, and more:
