Eight years ago today, we suffered the deadliest act of antisemitism in American history when a killer entered Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh while people prayed and murdered 11 of our neighbors. It’s been 2,922 days since the attack, but the pain still lingers in our Commonwealth. Today we offer prayers of comfort to those touched by this violence. Let today be a moment for action, remembrance, and resolve to combat antisemitism in all forms. May the memories of Joyce Fienberg, Richard Gottfried, Rose Mallinger, Jerry Rabinowitz, Cecil Rosenthal, David Rosenthal, Bernice Simon, Sylvan Simon, Daniel Stein, Melvin Wax, and Irving Younger forever be a blessing.

The antisemitism at this point is so just blatant and just so naked that anyone still denying it is unambiguously also an antisemite.

Here's what happens when a strong, thoughtful reporter asks @AbdulElSayed a reasonable question.....
El-Sayed couldn’t say if Iran or Israel is a bigger threat to America— then he called it a dumb question

Three years ago today, Hamas terrorists crossed into Israel from Gaza and brutally murdered more than 1,200 innocent souls, committing unspeakable acts of sexual violence and taking over 250 innocents hostage — including American citizens. As we mark the third anniversary of October 7th, Lori and I are thinking of all those who lost loved ones on that horrific day, and we are praying for healing, comfort, and peace.

You can have just a post marking the tragic October 7th massacre. You could save your selective ahistorical biased opinions on the whole history of Israel and Palestine (seemingly justifying October 7th) until say tomorrow. Your empathy could exceed your biases.

It’s too bad that popular governor Josh Shapiro is stuck in Pennsylvania rather than a critical swing area like New York City or we might get some media coverage of what Democrats can learn from his successes over the years.

Except memorably in the case of the Ahli Arab Hospital explosion.

I’m struggling with the concept of someone who goes big on the moral importance of recognising the death & devastation in Gaza, & then 2 weeks later sits down with the Foreign Minister of a regime which this year murdered tens of thousands of people over the course of 72 hours.
Meeting and discussion between Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and David Milliband, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, on the sidelines of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly.

This an absolutely insane response from someone trying to represent Michigan in the Senate. Abdul is bought and paid for by the enemies of America. Iran, China, and Russia are rooting for Abdul to win. He has their best interests at heart. Not Michigan’s.
Michigan Senate nominee Abdul El-Sayed responds to a visibly upset Iranian-American student at the University of Michigan, telling him that U.S. military interventions, sanctions, and regime-change wars often advance corporate interests and harm civilians, rather than promote democracy and freedom.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres said: “I have never seen killing and destruction like Gaza in all my years as Secretary-General.” According to even the most critical reports, Guterres, 70,000 people were killed in the war in Gaza, a large proportion of them Hamas terrorists. During your years as Secretary-General: more than 600,000 people were massacred or starved to death in Ethiopia. 377,000 died in Yemen — that figure appears in reports issued by your own organization. 150,000 were killed in Sudan and 12 million were displaced. Hundreds of thousands have been buried in Ukraine. You didn’t see it? They died before your eyes. You simply looked the other way, because the Jews couldn’t be blamed.

The person Mehdi is mocking here is a teacher at Temple Israel. She was putting her class of toddlers down for a nap when a terrorist drove a truck into the building.
If you believe El-Sayed has ‘hatred’ for Jews then you need to get mental help.

I challenge anyone to watch this video and deny the naked bigotry of the antizionist hate movement.
I'm a journalist. And I happen to be Jewish. On Yom Kippur I went to a synagogue service in Toronto and was met by protesters trying to taunt and intimidate me from entering the building. 1/5

Every sentient journalist here knows these are the sources of "news" in Gaza, and have been since the Hamas takeover 19 years ago. This is obviously a major story, but Western editors can't cover it honestly because they've all played ball and are thus implicated themselves.
So it turns out that Hamas runs a WhatsApp group with all of Gaza’s journalists, where Hamas “managed the discourse and the narrative.” These outlets have "journalists" in Gaza: Reuters, AP, NYT, CNN, Wapo, PBS, NPR, BBC, The Guardian, Al Jazeera, and Drop Site News

Again people think I’m exaggerating when I say that large parts of the western left have radicalised themselves into explicit support for terrorism. Look no further than this. A white American praising Hezbollah and attacking Lebanon’s elected pro-western government.
Hezbollah is currently the only viable alternative to a collaborationist, corrupt Lebanese state that is unable to present a military challenge to Israel, by design. "Please bomb us slightly less" is all they can muster as Israel ethnically cleanses the south. This is the game.

I'm amazed at the performative "I love Jews" while at the same time singling out and wanting to destroy the only Jewish state they pray to for thousands of years. After studying Judaism, I realized you cannot separate Judaism from Israel, just like you cannot separate Islam from Saudi Arabia.

To be clear, there isn’t a non-racist way to call Leader Jeffries—a Black man—a “monkey” or “errand boy.” @WajahatAli, this is what happens when we hold ourselves to such low standards for what’s allowable in our discourse—people get comfortable being openly bigoted. We have to stop platforming and trafficking in anti-Black racism, whether it’s on the political right or the left.
When people show you who they are, believe them the first time.

In an op-ed for The New York Times, I argue that saving Gaza & its Palestinian people requires resisting Hamas, weaving in personal themes, addressing issues with the Left & "pro-Palestine" movement & proposing a vision for Gaza's future Transformation. nytimes.com/2026/09/04/opini…

El-Sayed should try talking like less of a douche — grown men talking about who’s an “alpha” and who’s a “beta” is juvenile.
Hey @MikeRogersForMI - clearly your teammates didn’t vote you captain. If they did, you would have said it in the ad. Probably had that beta energy back then, too. I *was* captain. Football. Wrestling. Lacrosse. (Thanks for repping my school, tho 😉)
