Matt Turner

My Mission Statement: To glorify God by leading & delighting in my family, proclaiming the Word faithfully, praying fervently, & developing leaders and systems that equip the church to gather, go, and grow in Christ locally, regionally & globally by the power of the Holy Spirit.

It is through the interdependence of local churches that Christian unity is beautifully displayed, relationships are enjoyed, congregations are protected, and the message of the gospel advances in power. @JMellinger | SGJ | Churches in Partnership

When you get to heaven, you will not complain of the way by which the Lord brought you. John Newton | Letter to Rev. Mr. Whitford

I believe that our inconsistency in practicing the spiritual disciplines is not due primarily to an absence of self-discipline, but to the presence of self-sufficiency. @realcjmahaney | SGJ | Shaping Virtues

The guidance of God is not meant for the bright paths of the garden of ease, but for the dark places of pain where we have few answers and paths have never been cut. @JohnPiper | A Hunger for God

The sluggard can be busy—busy neglecting the most important work, and busy knocking out a to-do list filled with tasks of secondary importance. @realcjmahaney | Biblical Productivity

When God tells the people what to do, this is not a job description, but a doctor’s prescription. He is not telling us to earn wages by laboring for a boss, but to get well by trusting our Physician. @JohnPiper | A Hunger for God

The greater our awareness of the difference between ourselves and God, the more we will experience and express humility. @realcjmahaney | SGJ | Shaping Virtues

The purchase price of the church should jump out to us, blazoned across our hearts as a perpetual motive in loving God’s people. Jon Payne | Pastoring Together

Passion is fertilizer for risk-taking action. But passion without a plan is just cow manure. Scott Thomas | The Gospel Shaped Leader

There are a lot of things you can do to fix your situation after you pray. But there is nothing you can do to fix the situation until you pray. Whatever it is you need God to do in your life, it happens after prayer. @hbcharlesjr | It Happens After Prayer

Loving the one who died on that tree, we must love the flock he died for. Jon Payne | Pastoring Together

Christianity is a battleground, not a playground. @hbcharlesjr | It Happens After Prayer

A life changed by grace will show itself in holiness, obedience, and love. John Calvin

Corporate worship is designed to rescue us from our gospel amnesia and root our identity once again in the person and work of Jesus. @PaulTripp

Productivity is not about doing more stuff; it’s about doing the right stuff. @MichaelHyatt | The Virtual Assistant Solution

When I am impatient with others, I have usually lost sight of God’s patience with me. CJ Mahaney | Ordinary Pastors
