I was talking to someone yesterday about pitching hotels on robotics data collection. It’s a new idea to them. Most hotels haven’t thought about robotics yet.

They’ll collect the data on owned hardware and do post-processing in-house. It’s pretty early for hotel companies to start doing this, but more tech-forward physical labor companies in the Bay Area like @DoorDash and @Uber are already doing it.

Soon, it will be commonplace across many other industries. The companies that start collecting their own robotics data early will have an advantage when robot deployment becomes mainstream.
