One year ago, a ceasefire was announced in Gaza. Today, Israel continues to:
âš« Kill Palestinians and destroy civilian infrastructure
âš« Restrict aid and cut essential services
âš« Force people into an ever-shrinking space
This is not a ceasefire, this is a genocide.
And no, the CBD was not dead in the earlier morning, or later in the afternoon. Heck, there were even people lining up to get into the new department store, and the queue for the ferry to the city was huge.

I do think @PrimeVideo should stop asking me if I like what I am watching when I am on season 7, episode 11. I either like it, or I am torturing myself.
I am counting the days until I head off to Italy, and hoping the rain doesn't follow me. I can't believe I managed to get three loads of washing dry on the line just the other day.🌧️

Hasan Piker reacts to Ed Sheeran's opening acts and Ed's own band members dropping out of his tour due to Macklemore being removed from his remaining tour dates. This is solidarity. I NEVER thought we would get here. Free Palestine.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

As the effects of environmental degradation intensify worldwide, it’s important to remember that climate change is not only an ecological collapse. It’s a human rights crisis.

Congratulations South Africa Legal Team. What a gift to humanity you are.
South Africa has officially submitted a substantial dossier to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), detailing Israel’s continued non-compliance with legally binding provisional measures.
The submission, formally handed over on 25 August 2026, serves to assist an ICJ committee of judges tasked with monitoring the implementation of the court’s orders in Gaza.
According to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Israel’s non-compliance directly undermines the protective functions of international justice.
Hence, the submission is a vital milestone in the struggle for global accountability. By formally documenting Israel’s refusal to adhere to the court’s binding provisional measures, Pretoria is doing far more than advocating for Palestinian survival.

* Remove unemployment benefits for 18-19yos, pushing costs on struggling families
* Restrict voter enrolment to make it harder for those families to vote against it

We are appalled by reports of an Israeli airstrike within the Al-Aqsa Hospital compound on 29 August. Hospitals should be safe places for patients and healthcare workers.
