Online communities usually die with the app that hosts them, but the people who build & use Hive have met every year since 2016
thru a fork & rename, 2 years in VR, from Amsterdam to Mexico, Croatia, Malaysia & Barcelona
the network is real & belongs to us β¦οΈ

Has anyone on X tried @SnapieApp ?
How many would love to have backgrounds like these on your profiles? Just asking for a friend...

I am really impressed by what ONE person can do and the outcome it generated. Now imagine when we all get together and work in a decentralised way, but together, helping each other for a common cause.
Well done @shiftrox_
It's clear the hive:native power is in you!

There are only two ways to "fix" the GL heli sky terror, and WARDOGS did neither for season 2.
1) prevent passengers from equipping the GL on the heli (lame and lazy way to do it)
2) force the launched rounds to carry the same velocity as the helicopter.
Right now the grenades ignore physics. They hit where you aim regardless of direction or speed because they do not carry the velocity of the shooter.
By having the fired grenades maintain the helis velocity, it would be pure luck to hit shots while traveling at high speeds and during turns.
BUT... it wouldn't remove the strategic use of them.
If the pilot is willing to slow down, the grenadiers could still be moderately effective.
But we all know what happens to slow flying helis...
Choice 2 provides a strategic choice that still fits the spirit of the sandbox but limits the effectiveness it has in all envelopes.
This is in line with how you can shoot a single rocket from the side of the heli. It works, but at a pretty big cost.

Replying to @coingecko
9 releases this year alone and all of them deployed seamlessly without interrupting the builders who make cool stuff with our tech (without us showing it all off well, honestly)
it's not building that's underrated, it's making sure we're loving on the ones doing the building

#HIVE Power!
I don't care how bottom I am... people who are going to make more "shiny" things than me... are going to be my prop!
Yes, I need to know them... I need to meet them, I need to somehow find them. But most importantly, I need to see that they know about decentralisation!
I am not afraid of being me...

Me...? Yes, free! Happy! Where u can find me? In a place near you! Just ask... Enjoying my life... preparing for my 10 years on #hive π
We have a lot to discuss.
New VLOG is dropping next week.

We will also be piloting a new podcast format focused on recapping the Season 2 launch this weekend. More content, more context, more WARDOGS.

π³ Splinterlands Γ Splinterlanes β Official Collaboration Announcement π³
The classic formula just got a fun remix.
πΉοΈ Splinterlanes is here! A fresh, high-intensity take on the Splinterlands gameplay you already know and love. Battle across three lanes at once with real-time card placement, deeper strategy, and the same cards you already own.
πΈ Every match feeds the Splinterlands economy. Tickets cost a single cent π, and the prize vault is filled with real cards bought from the secondary market β so playing the lanes keeps cards moving and keeps the vault full of sweet cards to win.
ποΈ Build your Deck. β¨ Collect Talismans β Lane-twisting relics that change the rules of your Friendly Lane, won as battle prizes and traded for DEC. πͺ Climb the Ranked ladder. π Win real Splinterlands cards, delivered on-chain.
π³ Why bowling? Splinterlanes β Lanes β the only lanes that matter. Picture the alley down the back street: the neon buzzes, half the pins are chipped, the carpet has seen things, and the regulars would not have it any other way. So Splinterlands rolled out a limited run of βLanesβ skins for your Splinterlands cards β six of them, fifty copies each, bowling-flavoured through and through: Cursed Slimeball, Furious Chicken, Lava Launcher, Portly Cannoneer, Surly Drunk and Yabaβs Pickle.
π How you win one: every so often, when a ticketed win rolls a Talisman as its prize, the alley hands you a Lanes skin instead β straight to your Splinterlands account, yours to equip and show off in the lanes. No separate queue, no claim form, no coupons. Just bowl. When the rack is empty, thatβs it β theyβre gone for good.
π₯€ Your collection. New ways to play. Bigger stakes. Shoes optional.
