I’m Kevin Howell, founder of The One-Eyed Scout. I evaluate basketball players and help coaches understand who can help them win. I look beyond the highlights—how a player defends, makes decisions, competes, and treats teammates. I also help families understand where their player stands and what needs to improve. My job is to give an honest evaluation and back it up with what I see in the gym.

After doing creative work in pro & corporate sports, it seems I’m in the space where people are asking me who they should be looking at recruiting wise. The attitude is the first thing they ask me about. Back talking coach, body language when things aren’t great, good teammate?

I’m never going to lie to yall in the captions. I’m going to put the work out there, so coaches can draw their own conclusions. Make sure the media you promote, is helping, not hurting because if they find out it’s smoke & mirrors, who does that hurt? Truly?

Emeka Okafor was in my HS class (2001). AT THE SAME STAGE, @Emmanuelcalebn is further along. If he keeps trending in the right direction, will be 🍔 boy. 5⭐️ Big. It’s a reason the platform does what it does.. @ExposureOtr It’s where there PLAYERS PLAY!

Figure out what it actually is, not what you can make it look like

Houston doesn’t have many D1 guys in 2027/28 right now. Be honest with the kids. There is way more work to be done & a larger gap than they realize
