International travel deeply impacts your sleep. I travel over 250 days per year so I know this well. That is why I started working on a solution 18 months ago and now it is almost ready. I have been using it for months and it is a game changer. Stay tuned
It's taken 18 days post international travel for my sleep architecture to normalize. International travel is brutal on the body and mind.

Who is building YCombinator for politicians? We need a supply chain of techno-optimist candidates developing their skills to win elections, across both parties.

One of the primary reasons of spaghetti code & unmaintanable codebases are… SINGLETONS. They block future evolution of your codebase and make testing harder. STOP USING THEM NOW

On-chain loans for real land is a huge unlock. Billions in illiquid capital is now suddenly liquid. This is the real-world asset use case you've been waiting for.
Last week I had the chance to sit down w/ @fabricaland TLDR: They are bringing off-chain land to the blockchain and taking advantage of the NFT Finance infrastructure that already exists! Here is a quick clip! Full interview dropping Wednesday 🔥

One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned over the last few years as an engineer: design the most tight interface possible, and then add as much sugar as needed. Make your “tight” interface your security boundary.

People often ask me if @ladybirdbrowser does/will use less resources than Chrome/Firefox/Safari/etc. Short answer: not anytime soon. Long answer: The idea that a new browser engine would use less resources than current production engines is somewhat misguided, assuming same exact feature set with comparable performance. The web platform has a lot of functionality, and even if you know exactly what you're doing with all the subsystems (which I don't, but I'm learning 😅), you'll end up doing wasteful things just to make progress at a bearable pace. Meanwhile, production engines have 15+ years of continuous tuning by hundreds of motivated professionals! That said, building a new engine does have many advantages. With nobody depending on us (yet), we are free to experiment with new architectures which would be much harder to do in shipping engines. Ofc we should still aim for reasonable memory/CPU usage. We will get there, one step at a time! 🤓🐞🌍

You might not know about @simonw's command line 'llm' tool. Here let me demo it. git log | head -n 200 | llm -s "Of the most recent 5 commits, which is probably the most important? I use 'Minor' and similar commit messages to mark unimportant commits."
