More than a dozen flight tests and years of development, with countless hours worked by SpaceX engineers and technicians, all come down to this: the first orbital Starship launch carrying advanced Starlink satellites bound for space.

Wondering why does Canadian tech talent leave for NYC the second they graduate?
Because Toronto is full of wannabe Silicon Valley founders demanding 996 grind culture, cosplaying as the next Elon Musk, and paying Tim Hortons wages.
They want Stanford talent, OpenAI output, and McDonaldâs payroll. And then these delusional fucks have the audacity to call it a âtalent shortage.â
No, buddy. The talent isnât missing. Itâs just smart enough to leave.
i'm hiring a team of grinders who are early in their careers :)
> in-person, full time
> downtown Toronto
> non-technical
> $20-30/hr (depending on experience)
job will be doing spatial data QA at a stealth robotics startup, led by ex-execs at Cohere, NVIDIA, Apple.
pls shoot me a message or help me out by cfbr :)))

Everyone is always rooting for you. Your parents want you to be a great son. Wife wants you to be a great husband. Your boss wants you to be a slam dunk hire. Every first date youâve ever been on theyâve been rooting for you to get laid. Every time you started to tell a joke people hoped it would have a hilarious punch line. Your proximity to anyone is a reflection of themself, meaning the deck is never stacked against you, and your failures are completely your own

Next year, I will assign one of my jira tickets to every kid in America.
This will be the first of many.

I tested decision models against each other in a 2D physics based tower stacking game. Every 5 pieces, the platform base would tremor.
Each model received the same prompt and was tested on the same 10 seeds.
Models can choose to either drop the piece or adjust it.
If the model chooses adjust, it chooses from options to rotate CW 5 degrees, rotate CCW 5 degrees, move left one position, or move right one position.
This then repeats until the model decides to drop the piece or it hits a decision limit.
These were the best results from each.
The gold Drop-only line marks where the final height of the tower would be if the model decided to drop each piece immediately, without adjustment, on that specific seed.
i.e. If it finishes above that line the adjustment choices the model made benefit the tower compared to simply dropping the pieces
Despite trying many different types of prompts, Clef-Flash always decided to drop without adjustments no matter the prompt.

Starshield systems are owned and controlled by the US government. Any limits on speed or usage are decided by the US military and ultimately POTUS.
Starlink is a commercial service owned and controlled by SpaceX. Usage of Starlink is limited to civilian or defensive activities and cannot be used for offensive military action, as doing so would be inappropriate for a commercial company.

thereâs so much confusion about whatâs happening in AI because if you donât use coding models every day itâs hard to understand how quickly progress is accelerating but if you do, you likely have AI psychosis to a degree that itâs impossible to explain it in an understandable way

We may have just witnessed the peak of the Falcon family of rockets. 3 missions, in less than 13 hours, 4 booster landings and a crew docking to station. Incredible! Falcon is winding down as Starship ramps up. Congrats on a HUGE day. Don't forget, Starship just launched Monday!

SpaceX has launched every rocket in their lineup, 3 different vehicles, from 4 different pads, in 3 different states this week.
They also lifted basically every âcategoryâ of payload. Starlink, Crew, Commercial, and Military.
WHAT. A. WEEK.
Our first view of a new Starlink V3 in orbit.
Captured on September 30 from approximately 230 km with 34 cm/px resolution, this is an early look at the next generation satellite in the Starlink constellation.
Two solar arrays are deployed, with the spacecraft in an expected orientation as it raises orbit.
The V3s will now move towards their operational altitudes, bringing them closer to HEOâs current network and enabling higher-resolution imagery as they climb.

Each of the 4 people you call âoligarchsâ founded and spent decades building companies in highly competitive markets, and those companies created trillions of dollars of value. We should celebrate these people and their accomplishments.
