Only Somalis know the answer to this question that Iranians, Koreans, Japanese, Arabs, and other Africans keep asking about the success of Somalis in the west.
Never release the sauce.

Truth be told, the unwavering resilience and determination of the Somali people.
Securing 10 legislative seats in the midterm elections, despite facing relentless attacks and adversity, is truly remarkable.
The greatest lesson here is simple yet profound: when people stand united, they can never be defeated. #Somalia

BREAKING: SOMALI STRONG! 9 Somali Americans won their elections last night despite the vile racist smear campaign that Trump has been waging against their entire ethnicity.
Victory is the best revenge...
Trump called Somalis "garbage." His relentless attacks against their communities were the most consistent racist barb in his arsenal this election cycle. He was convinced that throwing hateful red meat to his base would carry the day for MAGA.
“I don’t want them in our country," he said.
“They contribute nothing," he said.
“Ilhan Omar is garbage. She’s garbage. Her friends are garbage," he said.
“Let them go back to where they came from and fix it," he said.
He called Somalia “barely a country” and said Somalis come from “hell.” He said, “Their country stinks”.
But last night, the American people stood up and showed him exactly what they think of Somalis. We support them, value them, and we think they belong in government!
Rep. Ilhan Omar won reelection.
Omar Fateh and Zaynab Mohamed won Minnesota State Senate seats in Minneapolis.
Samakab Hussein won a Minnesota State House seat in St. Paul’s East Side.
Mohamud Noor and Anquam Mahamoud won Minnesota State House house seats in Minneaplois.
Abdi Daisane flipped a Minnesota State House seat in the the St. Cloud area.
Ismail Mohamed and Munira Yasin Abdullahi won Ohio House seats in Columbus.
Trump tried to make them a punchline. Instead, they made history. The MAGA era is over. We are sick and tired of letting these demented fascists divide us along racial and religious lines. America is vibrant, multiracial democracy and if Republicans don't like it, they can get out!
Please ❤️ and share to congratulate these winners!

Peggy Flanagan defeats anti-Somali Republican Michele Tafoya in Minnesota’s U.S. Senate race.
Flanagan makes history as the first Native American woman elected to the U.S. Senate, defeating Tafoya, who made attacks targeting Somali Minnesotans part of her campaign.
Tafoya repeatedly singled out Somalis in discussions of gang violence and fraud, accused Democrats of failing to address what she called “Somali gang violence,” and campaigned on deporting noncitizens convicted of fraud.

Somali American voters in Ohio helped turn the state blue. According to unofficial ballot counts, more than 70,000 cast their votes. They showed up to ensure that hate would not be normalized in their community, turning out at a higher rate than in the previous two elections—six times the rate in the 2022 midterm election.

HISTORY MADE: Somali American Abdi Daisane flips longtime Republican seat in central Minnesota.
Daisane defeats Republican Mike Conway in Minnesota House District 14A, becoming the first Democrat to win the district in more than a decade.
The district includes parts of St. Cloud, Waite Park, St. Joseph and St. Augusta.
Daisane, who lost his first bid for the seat in 2024, makes a historic comeback in a district long held by Republicans.

#ANALYSIS | Uganda’s Withdrawal: Is Somalia Weakening One Front to Secure Another?
Ugandan troops are preparing to withdraw from six locations in Lower Shabelle by November 10:
Baraawe
Qoryooley
Janaale
Buulo
Golweyn
Kabtan Laas
The troops are expected to assemble at Number 60 by November 13.
security sources claim President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s government is considering redeploying the 77th Brigade from Ceeldheer and Masagawaay in Galgaduud to reinforce Lower Shabelle.
As the accompanying map illustrates, the two central Somali towns are approximately 330–465 km from the affected Lower Shabelle locations, depending on the destination.
Such a redeployment could strengthen security near Mogadishu but potentially weaken government positions in central Somalia, creating opportunities for Al-Shabaab.
The critical question: Can Somalia secure Lower Shabelle without sacrificing its military gains in Galgaduud?

The residents of Mogadishu say bye bye to Uganda 🇺🇬 soldiers they have expressed great satisfaction with the departure of the Ugandan peacekeeping forces, who had been operating in the capital for a long time. Some view this as a significant step toward security self-reliance, enabling Somali forces to assume full responsibility for securing their country without depending on foreign troops.
