Official account of the Spanish Maritime Forces Headquarters (SPMARFOR). 🇪🇸 Currently serving as @NATO as Commander Task Force Atlantic #CTFAtlantic leading multinational maritime operations in support of collective defence and maritime security.
Some moments are worth keeping. 📸
From the bridge to the flight deck, from the North Atlantic to the High North — here's a look back at some of our favourite moments at sea.

Getting the signal ready to mark the start of the weekend. 🚩
Don't worry. We’ll keep watch. 👀

Ships at sea are only part of the picture.
Behind every operation is a network of people, information and decisions connecting forces across the maritime domain.
That is command and control.

🇪🇸 A proud moment for our Chief of Staff and for the @Armada_esp
An honour to be part of the group of senior naval officers received in audience by His Majesty the King.
Leadership, service and commitment. ⚓

🔥 Now these are some seriously cool shots! 👀🚁
Mine hunting operations are vital to detecting underwater threats and keeping critical sea lanes safe and open for navigation. ⚓
Different capabilities. One mission: safer seas. ⚓

🚢 Ships have a reach. Aircraft extend it. 🚁
Maritime air operations give a force greater reach and flexibility — from search and rescue and transport to surveillance and anti-submarine warfare.
Do you think @NATO_AIRCOM would like these pics? 👀

Why does the Atlantic matter to NATO? 🌊
Because it connects Allies.
It links North America and Europe, carries vital maritime routes and provides the space through which Allied forces can reinforce one another.
Keeping the Atlantic secure matters to us all.
⚓ #WeAreNATO
We sure love to see a good @NATO PHOTEX! 👀
And shout out to @ItalianNavy for the exection, sorry but couldn't help posting some pics from MARE APERTO 2023...
BZ shipmates! ⚓️

⚓❤️ This is why our naval hearts beat!
Different nations. Different ships. One Alliance.
At the start of the exercise Mare Aperto, SNMG2 joined Allied and Partner warships, alongside other participating vessels for a PASSEX, practising coordinated manoeuvres and strengthening interoperability.
📸 Now that's a sight!
How do you move a force from the sea to the shore?
Amphibious operations. 🌊➡️🏝️
Ships, aircraft and Marines work together to project power from sea to land — bringing people and capabilities ashore where they are needed.
This is #CTFAtlantic.
⚓ #WeAreNATO
And then comes the hardest part.
🌊 Sea → Shore
Landing forces from the sea requires timing, coordination and precision — with ships, landing craft, aircraft and troops working together.
Power projection from sea to land. ⚓
#CTFAtlantic #WeAreNATO
Why does amphibious capability matter to @NATO?
🌊➡️🏝️Because access matters:
Amphibious forces give NATO options to move forces from sea to land, reinforce Allies, respond to crises and operate where access by other means may be limited.

For Spanish 🇪🇸 Maritime SOF, underwater navigation brings together precision, composure and trust—in their equipment, their training and each other.
Every bearing matters. Training sharpens the skills Allied SOF need to operate in demanding maritime environments and stay ready for the mission.

TGIF? 👀
For some, the week is winding down.
For us, the watch continues.
Because readiness doesn't clock out. ⚓

What are you looking at? 👀
A ship?
A helicopter?
A landing force?
Look closer.
There’s a whole operation happening in this picture.
⚓ #CTFAtlantic #WeAreNATO
At first glance, it’s just a ship. ⚓
Look closer.
People, systems, aircraft, communications, decisions — all working together to turn steel into capability.
