International Microorganism Day | 17 September
Invisible to our eyes, yet indispensable to life - #microorganisms shape our health, food, ecosystems, agriculture and biotechnology.
Even our mouth has its own #microbiome - a remarkable community of microorganisms that interacts with our body every day.
Let us celebrate these tiny champions and inspire #curiosity about the unseen world that sustains our visible world.
Because sometimes, the smallest things create the biggest impact.

T–10 hours to a new perspective on the Universe!
The countdown has begun for the launch of NASA’s #NancyGraceRomanSpaceTelescope , a mission expected to significantly advance our understanding of the #Universe.
At 7:26 a.m. EDT (4:56 p.m. IST) today, #SpaceX’s Falcon Heavy is scheduled to launch from Historic Launch Complex 39A at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The site previously hosted the Apollo 11 launch and the first Space Shuttle mission.
Roman will provide #Hubble-quality resolution across a field of view at least 100 times wider, allowing scientists to survey billions of galaxies, investigate the nature of #darkenergy and #darkmatter, and identify distant #exoplanets on an unprecedented scale.
With an estimated lifecycle cost of approximately $4.3 billion, Roman represents a significant investment in humanity’s ongoing effort to understand the origins and evolution of the Universe, the laws that govern it, and the worlds that exist beyond our own.
From a historic launch site to the farthest reaches of space, Roman exemplifies the enduring value of scientific exploration and our commitment to expanding the boundaries of knowledge.

After a day of intense competition at the #WorldHumanoidRobotGames 2026, even a robot knows when it’s time to recharge.
It’s more than a machine plugging into power - it’s a glimpse of the future: compete, learn, recover, and return stronger.
Perhaps the smartest lesson from humanoid robots is one we already know: progress needs both performance and renewal.

Today on 26 August in 1856 - A teenager who changed the world with an accident.
At just 18, #WilliamHenryPerkin accidentally discovered mauveine while searching for a malaria treatment - and patented the first #syntheticdye.
His mistake turned into a #revolution , making purple affordable and helping spark the modern #chemical industry.
Sometimes, #curiosity turns an unexpected failure into a world-changing breakthrough. 💜

Greetings on #NationalSpaceDay on 23rd August 2026!
Three yeas ago on this day, #Chandrayaan3 turned a dream into history by landing softly near the #Moon’s south polar region.
But that was not the end - it was a beginning.
From #Chandrayaan4 and #Gaganyaan to the planned #BharatAntarikshStation, India is building the capabilities to explore, live and work beyond #Earth - and one day, to place an Indian on the Moon.
Our greatest space mission is also to inspire a generation to look up, ask questions, think boldly and turn curiosity into discovery.
The Moon is our next horizon. The future is our destination.

August 14 reminds us that science is built on curiosity, courage and discovery.
On this day, we celebrate the birth of Swiss chemist #RichardRErnst, 1991 #NobelLaureate in #Chemistry, whose pioneering #NMRspectroscopy methods transformed our ability to explore matter at the molecular level.
We also remember French physicist and Nobel laureate #FrédéricJoliotCurie, whose work advanced our understanding of the #atom.
Different lives, one enduring message: great discoveries begin with the courage to ask “#Why?” and the perseverance to seek the answer.
