Anyone figured out an agent that can consume all the content you’ve seen on streaming platforms and make recs for future content based on mood?

Love this explainer but what he’s not showing is the level of unprofitable investment it takes from a brand/startup to make something like this even have a chance of being ROI positive long term You have to comfortable throwing a ton of money at meta without a guarantee
i built @WisprFlow’s paid ads program here’s how i’d rebuild it in 30 days

Current fave mom AI use case: Grok bot is making photobooks for me. This is always something I don’t have time for but want to do. It’s uploading photos to Shutterfly and putting a draft together for my review.

I have tried just about every personal AI agent. This is not a winner take all market. The winners are going to be the ones that work where you work. This is what makes Dot (ChatGPT/Codex) and Instinct (Imessage) so compelling.

I also don't think people will use just one. I'm currently (crazy person) using about 6 day to day. I expect that to go down to maybe 3 - but who knows.

If you are interested in understanding the historical rise of anti-Semitism and making sense of the current moment, I highly recommend reading Dara Horn’s new book, “The Final Solution to the Jewish Question” TLDR Nothing is new.

Seeing longitudinal health data in an LLM is insanely powerful. This is where I’m grateful to have been a OneMedical patient for the last decade. One button click and I can query my health data directly in ChatGPT. Wow!

I was boarding a plane and let a couple ppl cut me bc they had a higher boarding number and I was being nice. Those were the last 2 carry ons allowed on the flight. Grateful for the opportunity to experience the zen of the baggage claim.

The relentless demonization of Israel and Israelis has consequences. It feeds a world where hatred is taught, violence is excused, and Jewish men, women and children are treated as legitimate targets. So many innocent people boarded that FlyDubai flight today expecting to make it home. Instead, they came terrifyingly close to never seeing their loved ones again. Think about the terror they endured. Think about how many families came so close to receiving the worst phone call of their lives. Hateful words fuel hateful actions. Leaders and people of good conscience must find the courage to speak up and fight back against antisemitism. Enough of this madness dressed up as morality. Innocent lives are at stake.

Same is true in productivity. Most people don’t want to completely delegate tasks to an agent without some level of feedback or involvement Yet most agents are quick to try and complete the tasks
I think Silicon Valley is making a fundamental mistake with personal agents… optimizing entirely for the outcome and forgetting that, for a lot of things, the process is a very core part of experience. Travel is the obvious example. People will almost always never want “book me a trip.” They want to browse, compare, daydream, change their mind, send options to friends, and eventually book. And the average person probably has far fewer recurring tasks worth delegating than the AI industry seems to think. That’s why personal agents feel more like a feature that gets absorbed into existing products than a standalone category.

Astra one shotted this custom crossword puzzle I used during our "Values Highlight" ritual this week We used to read our values out loud every week but it turned into using AI to do a cool thing to highlight our values as a way to experiment super cool!

If you are feeling overwhelmed by keeping track of everything you have to do AND you feel like AI is making this worse...you're not alone! AI creates a ton of "collaboration overload," ie tasks that need your approval, context to move projects forward, responding to feedback requests...you get the idea. This was a problem before AI, especially in large companies where executives can create bottlenecks for projects when their approval is needed. But now as knowledge workers have multiple AI agents and bots managing disparate threads, this is becoming a problem for everyone regardless of their level of seniority. Everyone is a manager. There are going to be lots of interesting tools and solutions to this problem because context switching is a huge tax on our attention, and attention is the one thing we have in short supply as humans.
Between email, text, WhatsApp, signal, slack, and now my various agents, I feel like I’m constantly drowning in to dos. AI has made the overload worse for me personally I think- more junk emails, more context switching, etc.

If you work in tech right now, one of the most valuable things you can do is spend time with people outside of tech. The echo chamber feels stronger than it has ever been, and it’s important to recognize the distinction between twitter world and the real world.

What’s a good collaborative tool for trip planning? Planning a girls trip and want to try something new. Not ChatGPT bc chat is not great for collaboration. Not instinct etc bc single player.

The conclusion here of Asana (or other PM tools) being dead is flawed. Work will always need to be managed whether by human, agent of any combo of the 2. Linear, like Jira, is a product for eng teams and they adapted quickly since the eng job has fundamentally changed in the last 2-3 years. For knowledge workers, that change has been slower to come. So either Asana's moment is coming...or some AI native version (or an incumbent makes the right bets to become AI native). There's no way non technical teams reach for Linear first. Their H1 is "The product development system for teams and agents"
The Bull Case for Linear Being a $100BN Company: "Linear is the clear winner. They have built an agentic product first that allows us to build 100x more software, and that means 100x more features than ever before. Humans cannot keep up with it, and humans still have to work with agents. If every human on your team's gonna build 500 features and 1,000 issues and you have 10 people on your team, you need a process and a system of record for managing all these issues with your agents. We need a new system of record for it. The team at Linear has figured it out. We have seen an explosion, 50x more agent usage than 90 days ago. This will seem cheap when Replit's at $15BN, Lovable's at $100BN, because Linear will be the one powering them all". @jasonlk Love to hear your thoughts, what is your bull case for Linear @karrisaarinen @stephzhan @adambain @dickc @soleio @zoink @Mkclements

Here's what people don't understand about @bot : It removes decision fatigue. Sure, I can go out and buy a new watch for my kid. That would require going on Amazon, reading a bunch of reviews, opening Wirecutter, feeling confused and then not buying a watch. GrokBot can do the research. Make the recommendation, and actually buy. This removes so much mental load and time out of the day. Is it that big of a deal? Multiplied across dozens of potential decisions big and small in a day, it actually is. I think this is a huge part of the productivity boost you get from something like GrokBot vs ChatGPT.
