I’m obsessed with this season but have also been pretty devastated by all four boots. I was so excited to watch those women play.

When I pay Adam Klein $465 to become a prisoner
EXCLUSIVE: Netflix has announced "The New Stanford Prison Experiment," an unscripted series streaming Oct. 21. "Thirty willing participants enter a real prison and are randomly assigned as guards or prisoners. Thrust into a system of power, hierarchy, and control, they’ll discover whether ordinary people inevitably conform to the roles they’re given—or whether empathy, morality, and individuality can withstand the forces pushing them in the opposite direction. As the pressure builds and the balance of power begins to shift, the central question feels more urgent than ever: Does power corrupt?" wp.me/pc8uak-1lHKzp

My friend had a baby. My other friend’s first comment was “imagine how bad that is for your sleep score”. This revolution was a long time coming and took high skill to write. @e_llaj has done it though. This Was The Summer That Optimisation Died:
THIS WAS THE SUMMER THAT OPTIMISATION DIED by Elle Jones In early June 2026, investor-influencer Stephen Bartlett lamented the loss of three days of his life. On an episode of his productivity podcast Diary of a CEO, he commiserated having drunk three glasses of wine. Though Bartlett “didn’t get drunk”, the binge “ruined three days of my life… I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or the cortisol system or whatever was all messed up. Then I podcasted worse and I didn’t go to the gym the day after and I could track all of this on my Whoop [a fitness tracker designed to be worn 24/7] – hashtag ad, hashtag sponsor, investor… whatever [Bartlett is an investor in Whoop].” It was not an unusual statement for Bartlett, and such reflections have made his podcast among the most popular in the country, but something snapped in the public response. The backlash was immediate and furious. We should take a moment for “I podcasted worse,” but it wasn’t only that. It wasn’t even the flippant “hashtag sponsor, investor… whatever.” The public outcry stemmed from something deeper: a shift in our cultural way of life. Embrace the imperfection revolution: newstatesman.com/culture/lif…
