Even though they're still in a deep ocean trench from my standpoint, Weiss and the Ellisons just helped themselves a little by putting "Taiwan" and "From Taiwan" on the screen instead of something ambiguous like "Taipei". @cbs
As I return to using Taipei Metro, some questions for station managers. First one passed the buck to the main office. Surprised? Certainly not!
Any use of Taiwan's ltd public resources & condoning quasi public property like Taipei 101 for this is malpractice to highest degree, especially when we need to work on the fundamentals for serving/protecting people. Don't you agree, @ChingteLai @WananChiang @bikhim ?
On January 23, I’ll be free soloing Taipei 101 in Taiwan. It’s been a long time goal of mine and it’ll be the most ambitious urban climb that I’ve attempted. It’s a nearly 1,700 ft tower! What’s not to like?! And I’ll be doing it LIVE on @netflix. Tune in Friday, January 23 at 8PM ET / 5PM PT
Still trying to confirm - did Taipei City or Taipei Metro put out alerts following 1st attack? 1 stop away in R79 Underground by Zhongshan Station, I saw or heard no indication at time or even a 1/2 hr later when in station. Wise people would calmly leave area ... if we knew!
After eating in R79 underground, I could have easily gone back up to Zhongshan Eslite bookstore where I had been allday. Instead, entered Zhongshan, took Green Line train elsewhere, which I wouldn't have even necessarily done if I knew about the attack 35 minutes before at Main.
Could this be the launch of Megyn Kelly's political career tonight in Pittsburgh @megynkelly @MegynKellyShow ? Good fella 400 North Capitol-er (Hall of the States) and upstate New Yorker!
What we're dealing with here in Taiwan's English language news outlet! Mixing weather and seismology in same story. Translating specialist using no longer used "Richter Scale"! Just Brilliant, Sunday crew at @taipei_times !
Also, @ThibautBruttin , don't state media like @Focus_Taiwan , given relevance akin to AP Reuters & AFP, need more balance & more perspectives? Like in covering women's sports, CNA failed completely in including very honest concerns of biological female athletes. (2/2)
@ThibautBruttin Don't know if you did in interview (if it wasn't printed) but I wished you could have urged state media outlets like @Focus_Taiwan to have more disclosure in coverage. For example, if covering chip sector, acknowledge government is biggest investor in TSMC. (1/2)
Another issue with "Ask Not" by @DM_Maureen_ How many truly look at these texts from @littlebrown @HachetteUS & author? SO ridiculous to miss! I'm just a moron reader here and I'm spotting them, one after another! CC: @megynkelly @DailyMail @MegynKellyShow #AskNot

Why have I come across such glowing errors in this book so far, Maureen Callahan @DM_Maureen_ @littlebrown @HachetteUS ? No one caught this Ted Kennedy one? cc: @megynkelly @MegynKellyShow

Way to go fellow 400 North Capitol alum, @megynkelly ! Only eight staffers have helped her one program reach over a billion views on YouTube vs. the nearly infinite resources of established mainstream channels' presence there. Just crushing it! youtu.be/rzhmswS0m4w?si=TGRE…

@Focus_Taiwan How about presenting a more balanced story on this subject and perhaps mention XX and XY chromosomes - sometging pretty darn fundamental! Expect more from state media outlets! CC: @SexMattersOrg focustaiwan.tw/sports/202408…
It's not "Kate". It's "Princess Catherine". That's what she prefers. Can we all just give her that one thing!?
