Amen...
I’ve heard the following question from Christians this morning: if God is sovereign, why would He allow election results that seem so contrary to biblical values?
Here’s the thing. The Bible tells us in Daniel 2:21 that God removes kings and raises up kings. Remember Cyrus? He was a pagan Persian king who didn’t worship the God of Israel, yet God used him to accomplish His divine purposes. Read Isaiah 45.
God doesn’t need a Christian in political office to accomplish His will. He can use unusual vessels. The same God who allowed Pharaoh to rule Egypt, Nebuchadnezzar to rule Babylon, and Caesar to rule Rome is still sovereign over America. And the same God who used Cyrus can use circumstances today that we don’t fully understand.
But here’s something else: God also gives us free will. And that includes the freedom to VOTE—or NOT vote.
White evangelicals made up just 17% of the national electorate, compared with a significantly larger share of 24% in previous elections. That’s a 7% drop-off. We’re talking about tens of millions of evangelical Christians who don’t participate in elections.
God’s sovereignty doesn’t eliminate human responsibility. Our choices have consequences. And so does our silence.
But here’s what we also need to remember: God can take situations that look like defeats and use them for His glory. That doesn’t mean everything that happens is good. It means God is powerful enough to bring good out of even the most disappointing circumstances.
And sometimes, God gets our attention in ways we never expected. Through victories. Through defeats. Through closed doors. Through uncomfortable circumstances that force us to examine our hearts. Well, here we are.
Maybe the question Christians should be asking isn’t just, “God, why did You allow this?” Maybe it’s also, “God, what are You trying to teach us, and are we paying attention?”
Political power is not the same as spiritual power. Our ultimate hope is in Jesus Christ, not the Republican Party, the Democratic Party, or any politician.
We may not understand God’s timing. We may not understand His methods. But we can trust His character. 🙏
History is important; it's the thing that repeats itself if you refuse to learn from it. Yet we have an entire generation (or two) in the US who were never even taught unbiased, objective, documented history. Indoctrinated to hate their own country so much they welcome any enemy.

Here's another one
In one afternoon we have hired a new director of scouting and analytics and a new director of performance
Neither of these positions existed 12 hours ago
This is all a result of what I was talking about in my insanely long post a couple of days ago and the video I did about the Fever hiring Mel Raines
PS&E are finally taking the Fever seriously, they are inviting them out of the kiddie pool and into the regular pool with all the adults, they are treating them as FULL PARTNERS in the organization instead of just the side project
And it is equally obvious to me that these are moves that have been in the works for quite some time
Director of Performance, director of scouting and analytics - these are departments that can operate independently of a General Manager - a scouting/analytics department is an information gathering department, a Director of Performance has to do with player development
Very specified and defined roles
The General Manager will similarly have a defined role, that of cap management, team building, and day to day operations
Is it abnormal to make these hires without a GM in place? Yes
But the college basketball season is 48 hours away and overseas has already started. We know the returning Fever Girls are already in the lab. The time to get these hires on the job is now
And I have zero doubt work on the GM front is progressing behind the scenes incredibly quickly
Make no mistake
Today is nothing less than a transformational day for the Fever
Enjoy it

White AND Dunn should be fired to the sun asap. Every move @IndianaFever makes until then is tainted by their involvement and tough to support!!
Same as the "why doesn't Cooper Flagg have the same motion as Caitlin Clark when they're both white". Stupid AF. I don't love CC because she's white. Her talent and motion can't be manufactured for ANY other player.
Some of y’all Black folks sound absolutely RIDICULOUS when it comes to the WNBA.
“You’re Black, so you should be rooting for Angel Reese. If you don’t, you’re a coon!”
WHAT THE FUCK KIND OF LOGIC IS THAT? 😂
So let me get this straight. I’m supposed to root for Angel Reese because she’s Black, but if I root for another team with OTHER BLACK WOMEN on it, suddenly I’m anti-Black?
DO Y’ALL HEAR HOW STUPID THAT SOUNDS?
And let me make something else VERY clear. I don’t root for Angel Reese, and it has absolutely NOTHING to do with her being Black. I don’t like the behavior, the unnecessary antics, or what I see as the divisive, race-centered discourse surrounding her. And I believe she’s contributed to that environment instead of doing enough to discourage it.
But somehow, because I don’t support HER, I’m supposed to be against ALL Black women?
THE WNBA IS FULL OF BLACK WOMEN!
A’ja Wilson is Black. Napheesa Collier is Black. Kelsey Mitchell is Black. The list goes on!
So why is Angel Reese the one Black woman I’m REQUIRED to support to prove my Blackness?
BLACKNESS IS NOT A FAN CLUB MEMBERSHIP!!!!!
You don’t get to weaponize race, question another Black person’s identity, and then turn around and pretend you’re fighting racism.
Some of y’all aren’t advocating for Black women. You’re demanding loyalty to ONE player and using race to bully anybody who disagrees.
That’s not Black empowerment. That’s hypocrisy.

Influence is the one stat that doesn't need a box score.
Caitlin Clark changed what a WNBA ticket costs, what a WNBA broadcast draws, and what a 10-year-old in Iowa believes a jump shot from the logo is for.
TIME is just writing down what the arena attendance already told us.

In the 27 states with laws protecting girls' sports, there are no "genital checks."
But the @washingtonpost doesn't let the truth get in the way of the fear mongering story they want to tell.
They also neglect to mention in this article that in Colorado left wing groups including the ACLU and Planned Parenthood have spent $4.5M to defeat prop 134 (which would protect girls sports.) Why?
Five states have initiatives on the ballot to outlaw trans athletes in girls’ sports and gender transition treatment for children.
Washington state could require genital exams for girls in school athletics. wapo.st/48nAxsN
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The Washington ballot initiative requires a healthcare provider's verification of biological sex for girls' school sports based on reproductive anatomy, genetic makeup or testosterone levels as part of routine physicals; it does not mandate genital exams.

We DID move on too soon!! This day should be a CCFC holiday so we never take watching her for granted!!
$23?! And the corporate giveaways for "fans" in the stands?! Sounds just like @WNBA ...throwing money out the windows. Ending 2026 in an ATL street dumpster they set on fire.
The get-in price for Game 6 of the WNBA Finals has completely tanked after the 12:30 PM EST game time announcement for State Farm Arena.
Tickets were going for $156 before the announcement and are now just $23… For a Game 6 Finals game 😳
Absolutely insane. (Ticket Prices via @TickPick)
Interesting read!
Ok the really big news is actually the 2nd paragraph of this post - which is that the Fever are not going to replace Kelly K and instead are going to fold her role into the job responsibility of Mel Raines, President of Pacers Sports and Entertainment - effectively making her President of the Pacers, the Fever, the Noblesville Boom, and Gainbridge Fieldhouse all at the same time
That is a lot but Mel is also EXTREMELY good at her job and has an EXTREMELY impressive resume as a corporate power player, and ultimately it makes sense to me to consolidate the Fever's business department into all the other orgs that are under the umbrella of PS&E
Given that apparently everyone in the universe over at PS&E knew that Kelly K was only going to be in place for a few years anyway I suspect this was always going to be the plan, and probably most if not all of the actual business dealings of the Fever were already transitioned over to Mel's portfolio anyway when Kelly officially handed over the keys
Ok so how is this going to be functionally different for the Fever than what we had with Kelly K? For you and me there will basically be no difference but for the Fever FO things will be extremely streamlined and less red tape, because all business dealings (ticket sales, merch, corporate sponsorships, etc etc) will no longer be handled by anyone in the building, rather they will be completely segregated and away from all basketball related decisions
We used to see Kelly K in Fever draft rooms or speaking at Fever related events. She gave the media the tour of the new training facility. Those days are over, you're never going to see Mel Raines in an official capacity for any basketball decision
Is this the typical way WNBA teams are structured? With no team president calling the shots? Or is this a radical departure from how WNBA teams do business
Good question
The answer is that it is not unheard of in the WNBA but it is also not common, but it is EXTREMELY common in other sports leagues like the NBA and the NFL where teams have enough money to hire one executive wing to handle the business side and another to handle nothing but the basketball side
So like for example the Spurs, you have RC Buford running the whole corporate side and Brian Wright and Gregg Popovich handling the basketball side
In the WNBA there are a couple of orgs structured in this way and it's exactly the teams you might think would be - it's the Valks and the Liberty
This move therefore modernizes and streamlines the Fever corporate structure and we will never have to think about the Kelly K stuff ever again
Ok great so what's this mean moving forward?
It means that the GM is going to have absolute and ultimate basketball power for the Fever. They are not and will not be responsible for team image, they will not have to worry about any of the chaos that has surrounded the team this year. They are not gonna have to concern themselves with anything other than getting the roster and coaching staff right and they are gonna be empowered to hire an entire executive wing to help them do it - that means scouts, cap specialists, the whole nine yards. No more, it's just Amber and a dream
Theoretically this could be extremely good assuming you get the right person in there as GM - someone who knows their stuff and who has the gravitas to run an organization that employs Caitlin Clark - which is why the Fever are having Caitlin's agency handle the search
You get someone in there that is smart and can handle the pressure and they will be able to do their thing and build the best damn team they can and leave the noise and everything that has surrounded the Fever this year to only one of the best corporate leaders on Planet Earth
It should work!
... Or you could hire another Jeff Pagliocca because the Sky also operate under this model
So, you know, the GM hire is absolutely everything especially after adopting this new corporate model

I can't believe a league that insults the anthem, is confused about what a woman is, permits assault against its most popular player, lets an unprofitable union dictate terms, and shrugged off a betting scandal made a poor choice.
The WNBA should be celebrating a thrilling Finals series. Instead, its biggest showcase has become a scheduling punchline.
With Game 6 set for 12:30 p.m. ET on a Thursday, the league's poor planning is an avoidable embarrassment that undermines its own success.

2 minutes left in the game...
time to put a few more fouls on the Fever
....must... keep... Caitlin... out... of ... the ... playoffs...
Just...Amen!!
Welp, time for an Andrew rant because I’m incensed by this finals situation.
To be clear, I have no sourcing on this, and these are my opinions on a situation of two teams(GS,ATL) that I don’t cover.
So let’s get this all out in one spot, the WNBA are choosing to play a game at 12:30PM(9:30AM pacific) so that they can sell 14,000 more tickets at State Farm arena… then in almost every press release mention they “had to” because the Hawks play the second game of a back to back…
To be clear
-The Dream have their own arena, which according to the arena schedule had nothing going on Thursday evening.
-The NBA schedule and WNBA playoff schedule have been out for months and this could have been figured out in September.
-This isn’t a Hawks problem to solve, they don’t share venues or owners.
Because of this the game will be on USA, SyFy, and E competing with day-time soap operas.
The League is choosing to have a close out game 6 for the first championship in Valkyries history to be played at 9:30AM for their fans, and to have Angel Reese defend the Dream home court at 12:30PM…
To pull the curtain back all the TV contracts for playoffs are already set in stone, the league technically doesn’t make any extra money based off the ratings, so financially, the league isn’t going to be hurt by this decision.
In fact they are likely going to make 250,00 extra bucks from ticket sales for the extra 14,000 seats.
The primary owner of the Atlanta Dream has an estimated net worth of 8 billion dollars.
————
For the Valkyries fans, and the Dream fans, and all WNBA fans… they get to use a sick day or their PTO to watch the game in person, or sneak it on their lunch break, play it back on replay, or just miss the game.
The bars get to lose the revenue from a hometown team being in the finals.
The reporters get to be rushed out of an arena post game and likely lose a ton of access
The Valkeryies players get to celebrate on a practice court if they win the championship
All for what, 250,000k….
It’s literally insulting to all the players, fans, reporters, team employees, and people that pour so much time and effort into growing a game for a league and a team to value 250k in ticket rev over offering a prime time game and growing the game.
