Ahead of Mental Health Awareness Week, our Black Cats have become Black Dogs 🖤
A symbol of the battles that so many people face every single day - often silently.
Football is family. And family looks out for each other. No matter who you are, or what you’re going through, you are never alone.
It’s okay to talk.

I hope I’m wrong, but I’m not sure this level of drama will ever be topped at the SoL.
More great moments will come - no doubt. But this was an all-timer. The best I’ve ever seen.

"Sunderland have had an easy start, they'll drop off." Beat Chelsea + Bournemouth, drew with Arsenal in October/November.
"Wait till the derby, Sunderland will be put in their place." Saw off Newcastle with ease.
"Wait till AFCON, they'll fall apart." 6 players missing... played 4 games against Brighton, Leeds, Man City and Spurs and remain unbeaten.
1 point behind 5th with over half the season played.
People just need to accept that one of the most remarkable summers of recruitment in Premier League history, has left Sunderland with a brilliant team with an even better attitude.

Don’t ask me what I’m buying in B&M, Home Bargains or The Range. It doesn’t work like that The shops will let me know when I get there.

Whitby Abbey restored using drones
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This never happened. The image is just a 3D rendering showing how ruins could be visually reconstructed using drones. Also, Whitby Abbey didn't have a spire.

I keep thinking how 3 little girls were killed & more were hurt & traumatised, & instead of talking about their precious lives, we are being forced to focus on violent entitled white men burning cars & towns, who don’t give a shit about women’s & girls’ safety.

This week. Kyle Clifford murdered 3 women in cold blood. Gavin Plum repeatedly tried to abduct women, then plotted to kidnap, rape & murder another. Men have left human remains in a suitcase. ALL in a week. DO NOT TELL US MEN AREN'T HUGE FUCKING DANGERS WHY IS NOTHING CHANGING.

I genuinely thought the murder of Sarah Everard would spur on change and male violence against women be taken more seriously
More than 350 women have been murdered since her
At least another 50 women will be killed by men this year knowing no one will help them prevent it – at Bolivia
