The naysayers are getting embarrassing. Every day, people are using AI to make incredible breakthroughs and answer some of the toughest questions around, like "what do I like about my child?"
Need him to make some unequivocal anti imperialist moves still though despite the opposition, the opposition will never not be there
Lula was only 33 when he led the strike alongside the metalworkers’ union that challenged Brazil’s military dictatorship. He secured wage increases and was imprisoned.
His rival, the far-right Flávio Bolsonaro, on the other hand, has had only one occupation since the age of 21: spending his wealthy family’s money and engaging in far-right thuggery.

And this is why we should reject the tendency to frame anti-imperialist solidarity through the lens of self-interest. This argument, that foreign military intervention/violence should be opposed simply because it diverts public funds from domestic healthcare or social programs, is rooted in social-chauvinism.

The local harbour put up quite a fight against the ocean during Storm Austen. I returned home with a bunch of photos and one very salty face.

Very annoyed at the people discouraging donating directly to individuals and families. Organizations aren’t being able to operate properly or provide for everyone.
And maybe an organization will be able to feed 100,000 people so yes, DO donate to them, but ALSO to the individuals who need surgeries and medication that the org won’t cover.
The org will feed them perhaps but the org won’t provide the money for rent to keep them sheltered, or the blankets to keep them warm.
So many people and families fall through the cracks and that’s what their individual campaigns are for. Of course it’s an imperfect system and of course it’s not equitable and of course it’s not sustainable, and yet it’s the only option.
So for God’s sake don’t discourage people from donating to individual campaigns.
Yes, do emphasize other actions as well, but don’t make things more difficult for the families and those trying to keep them alive.
If they are being this callous with norwegian citizens just imagine how badly citizens of poorer less influential countries are treated 💔

I assumed this took place in 1948 during the Nakba, but turns out this is what the IDF did in Gaza in March 2026

Never forget it was a train station tragedy that sparked the protests in Serbia and they didn’t stop until they won. Even one death due to government corruption is too many.

Unless we put a halt to privatisation, outsourcing, call it what you will, pouring money into the NHS will only mean that we are pouring money into the pockets of privateers. Every penny that goes into our health care system must be free from those who think they can make a buck out of it. Profit is a dirty word when you are talking about sickness and health.
Corporate penetration of the NHS’: Revolving door raises concerns over ADHD review.
Instead of expanding NHS capacity, govts hand contacts to private providers making vast profits.
The same providers meet ministers to influence terms of reviews.
