Not at all. 4 years is very short. Social media glorifies shipping speed but real, durable ideas all take a decade or more. Very few quick wins that aren't just flash in the pan. Dig in deep and expect the good ideas to be full time work for a long, long time.

HIGHEST FEE GETS IN FIRST
BLOCK FORGE is a BTC mainnet desk that turns mempool → block into one loop: waiting txs drop into a 216-slot template, the template gets hashed, then the block slides onto the chain
most people only see the price candle. this one shows the forge. who gets into the next block, what sat/vB it costs, and how much the miner actually takes home
the idea: the mempool is the waiting room. the template is the packing list. the hash search is the lottery. tip-1 tip-2 tip-3 are just the last blocks that already left the forge
i ran one 15s time-lapse of forge 01. 5 seconds on screen ≈ 10 minutes on mainnet. fill climbs 0 → 100%. fee for next block falls as the template packs. when the nonce hits, the cube locks and slides onto the rail
▹ what runs under the hood
1. MEMPOOL: ~50k+ txs waiting. pink = high fee · orange = mid · purple = low. they don't all get in
2. TEMPLATE: 216 slots · 6 layers. txs drop in by fee. highest fee packs first until the block is full
3. FEE MARKET: live histogram of who made it vs who is still waiting. next / 3 / 6 block estimates sit next to it
4. HASH SEARCH: SHA-256d against the target. hashrate on the board · nonce ticking until one hits
5. CHAIN: tip-1 tip-2 tip-3 with hashes, ~4k txs each, ~3.125 BTC reward. the found block slides onto the rail
6. MINER REWARD: subsidy + fees. ~3.1–3.3 BTC to the miner this loop. next halvings cuts the subsidy to 1.5625 around 2028
MEMPOOL → TEMPLATE → HASH → CHAIN
alone a fee chart is a guess. alone a block explorer is after the fact. together you watch the next block get forged before it lands
bookmark this before you pay 80 sat/vB into a template that was already full
edge is open until everyone else wakes up

‼️ Researcher Erica Windisch skipped coordinated vulnerability disclosure and published 11 unpatched Tailscale flaws.
In her lab, Tailscale SSH race conditions let one hacked device get root on other servers and add a rogue node.
We believe voice is the most natural way to interact with intelligence, so we created Dessa, the most authentic full-duplex speech model ever built. Talking with it feels like talking with a person…full of emotion, nuance, pauses, and a natural cadence.

Introducing the ASCII Library by ASCII Magic ✨
The biggest collection of animated ASCII/Halftone/Dither art: 634 pieces, 24 categories, all in one place.
Scenes, cities, UI screens, charts, diagrams, 3D shapes, mascots, loaders, games, retro computers, science, explainers, music and more.
What you can do with it:
→ Add one to your project in one prompt: run npx ascii-magic-art, browse every piece live in your terminal, press enter, paste into your coding agent
→ Restyle anything: halftone dots, real dither, ASCII, binary, letters, blocks, or your own characters
→ Embed it in 2 lines: one script tag + <ascii-art piece="matrix-rain">
→ Works with React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte and Astro, or host it yourself
→ Use it as a wallpaper: 4K desktop, phone, YouTube, X header and LinkedIn banner sizes
→ Export GIF or video, ready for posts, emails and slides
→ Level up your GitHub README with GIFs and an animated banner maker
→ Build it into your interfaces: spinners, loaders, progress bars, empty states, 404 pages, dashboards
Open source and MIT licensed. Use it anywhere, even in commercial work.

abstraction until the form factor is invisible. it does not need to be, some may not want it to be, but it can be… invisible.

There are so many packages being used here it’s simply just unusable for anybody. Super idealistic but horrible experience for the user. Also, fragmenting across so many packages leaves so many attack vectors - most early data breaches this year came from compromised NPM packages and dependencies, it seems counterproductive to stack dependencies. It also gets people to buy private inference that is not truly private which defeats the whole purpose. It’s easy for 0.1% of the world to use this.

I genuinely hate the marketing trend right now of companies making AI generated videos with their branding/people in it around every single new pop culture or world event. I think its tacky, low effort, and it doesn't look that good at all.

we announced Jev 1.14 on 10.14 at 1:14pm PT 🔥
a new and improved model, along with experimental features for our dreamers:
• images
• a new box type
• longer context
surprise, Jev was already able to see you! 👁️
BUT our bar for production-grade intelligence is quite high, so builders beware, these are preview features.
enter the ~*~ danger zone ~*~ at your own risk. 🚨
