Been using a USB mic for most of the current podcast and it sounds pretty darn good. Yes, I probably end up doing a bit more editing and processing than if I had a full setup, but it works and fits my non-existent budget.

Unless you start making massive Patreon $, most USB mics are fine for audio. Probably wouldn't recommend a Blue Yeti, but most others work wonderfully.
