We raised $2M to build the screen-free interface for infinite children’s stories.
No screen, no mic, no camera.
Kids use physical blocks to co-create stories with AI. They don’t just listen, they get to build each story.
Blocks are heroes, cities, objects, rivals, or languages. Kids can even create their own.
For parents who want to encourage independent, creative play without a chatbot or endless feed.
For ages 3-8+.
$89. Shipping mid-November. Order today:

Watching kids light up while beta testing @playgeniHQ was one of the highlights of my time at @AIResidency. So excited for this team and to see how kids use it! Also some of the best user testers around. Highly recommend direct feedback from a child.

Let’s create a world of imaginative wonder!
We’re shipping with 11 books. Every story is built from blocks written by real people, and our Story Engine connects them into a new adventure each time. Human stories, endlessly remixed.
Raising a bilingual kid? playgeni tells stories in 15 languages: English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, German, Italian, Dutch, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, Japanese, Vietnamese, Filipino, and Korean. Which language should we add next?
Safety is at the core of @playgeniHQ . Your child never talks to or interacts directly with an AI. Our Story Engine is a closed system, so kids get all the wonder of the technology with none of the open-ended chat. Safe by design.
playgeni is a small book-like computer where kids can insert building blocks that let them co-create stories with AI.
Building blocks come in themes - languages, heros, cities - and kids can even create their own blocks.
Pick from our library of 10+ books!
playgeni storymaker turns kids' unique and wonderful ideas into audio stories, in 15+ languages.
It’s designed for parents who want to encourage independent, creative play without a chatbot or endless feed. Kids learn through play, inside boundaries that parents set. No screen, no microphone, no camera.

Giving kids the tool to make story time unique to them.
What's the difference between these three?
Tonies and yoto genuinely changed the game for screen-free play, and I'm a huge fan. @playgeniHQ is designed for parents who want to encourage independent play, where kids make the creative decisions.
We think of stories as how kids run simulations.

How early can kids be prompt engineers? 🤔
I feel like what we're building at @playgeniHQ is an intro to generative play and media.

Our first big event put us up against singing princesses, a bounce house, an ice cream truck, and more. Who would have guessed that our little blue table stayed packed for 3 hours straight! Kids took a snack or song break, then they were right back to make more stories
