Wish colleges would get back to putting the opposing bands on or near the field. So much cooler than dumping them up top.

Hmm.
I’m gonna be so real with you guys. I’m really afraid our best days are behind us. This roster stinks. And we do not have the NIL it takes to spend our way out of this. Not to the level we’d want to anyway. I don’t think this gets better anytime soon.

Not really that complicated. You have two main issues: 1. Backloaded schedule. 2. Watered down product due to Big Noon nonsense. ESECPN works hard to make their night games an “event” worth watching. The Big Ten wastes its best environments on noon games. It’s idiotic.
The Big Ten is winning National Championships and making more TV money than the SEC. But there is a growing problem... The widening gap in TV ratings and the quality of the TV product itself, compared to the SEC, has many hitting the panic button. awfulannouncing.com/college-…

Thr non-con games were generally awful this year. 🤷‍♂️
College football viewership is down 11% through September compared to last season. FBS game broadcasts are averaging 1.7 million viewers across all Nielsen-rated networks.

How has it taken this long for the national folks to realize the horrendous nature of Big Ten officiating?
It shouldn’t surprise anyone that maybe the Big Ten just put a lil’ teeny thumb on the scale to protect their favorites. The fact that they’re doing this for Indiana is a massive development.

We’re like a month removed from the “it’s unfair the SEC has to play the SEC!” narrative. Now, the games are such a joke teams have to do drills between snaps. Impressive transition.
BREAKING: Georgia practices during TV timeouts because opponents are giving them “enough work” 😳 Come to Georgia and practice during live SEC road games. DAMN!

The opposition to the Protect College Sports Act seems to be getting stronger. Will it be enough to prevent its passage?

Walked into Michigan Stadium yesterday and it was almost empty of ads. No sponsors on the board or press box. No titles, no retired numbers, no Hall of Famers. Just “Michigan Stadium” and the Block M on the canopies. OU’s Jordan logo on our sideline canopy was more branding than they had. Wild for a 100k stadium.

Does it say something about the current state of the SEC that Michigan fans rush the field for a win against a MAC team, but don’t against an SEC squad?

Michigan spent considerable time, energy, and cash promoting a “Maize Out”, but has a field emcee who cant even bother to wear maize. Who’s in charge at the AD?

Don’t people want to foster “connection” with Michigan’s corporate sponsors?

Every year on or right before 9/11, we show this video to our students. It’s not only powerful story-telling, it’s a reminder to a younger generation about how life altering 9/11 was for those of us who lived it. It’s only 10 min #themanintheredbandana

Michigan Stadium is running ads for this trash over its “Veteran of the Game” segment, btw. Good thing all that extra ad revenue is helping the product on the field!

It’s like $150-300 a ticket to sit through endless TV timeouts and ads.
Seeing a ton of high-major college football stadiums like 60-70% full on Week 1 of the season; that is including the National Champion. What is going on with crowd sizes so far? East, west, north, south, don’t matter. Lotta empty seats!
