🚨 BREAKING: Fulton County reports 1,069 ballots affected by scanner failures during early voting.
Two scanners malfunctioned.
At Mechanicsville Library, 361 ballots were impacted by a power failure and will undergo a full paper rescan.
At Hugh C. Conley, 708 ballots were affected by jam errors. Officials plan to transfer the memory card and conduct a paper rescan if needed.
Elections Director Nadine Williams is seeking county board approval tonight at 6:30 p.m. for the modified counting process.
The process will begin after polls close, remain open to public view, and be followed by final reconciliation.

There is a problem with every ballot scanner in Westchester County. We do not yet know the exact cause of the issue, whether it is the ballot or the machine. The Board of Elections is working with their vendors to resolve it.
However, every ballot will be counted. Stay on line and vote. Do not leave the polling place without voting.

🚨BLESS IT…Fulton County Election Day update | Two scanner failures affected 1,069 early-voting ballots
In a November 3 memo to the Georgia Secretary of State’s office, Fulton County Elections Director Nadine Williams says she will ask the county election board to approve a modified counting procedure at its 6:30 p.m. meeting tonight.
📍 Mechanicsville Library — 361 ballots. A scanner lost power on October 21 and would no longer operate after it restarted. State voting systems staff advised against uploading its memory cards because the data could be corrupted. Under the proposal, Fulton would rescan all 361 paper ballots on a central scanner.
📍 Hugh C. Conley Recreation Center — 708 ballots. A scanner repeatedly displayed a paper-jam error on October 26, even though staff found no apparent jam. Fulton plans to use another scanner to complete the closeout with the original memory cards. The 708 paper ballots would be rescanned only if that transfer fails.
If the board approves the plan, Williams estimates work will begin between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m., after polls close. The memo says staff will announce the start in the public observation area at the Fulton County Election Hub & Operations Center, and the process will be visible to the public.
Fulton should release the final reconciliation showing how many ballots were counted from the memory cards, how many were counted from paper, and how it verified that each ballot was counted exactly once.
