I can't bring Stargate back, or fix the nonsense at Amazon, but I can invite Stargate fans to have a look at The Fractured Table. Think of it as a pilot episode of a new story about Special Operators in a science fiction near future going on a cross-dimensional adventure. And right now you can read it for free... booksirens.com/book/T45DRHK/…

Hey y'all! I recently picked up steady part time work, and our tea shop is up and running, and aside from that, I've been picking up some part time gigs as a book cover designer and a composer, so after nearly a year of unemployment and sporadic freelancer work, we're starting to get our feet beneath us, and we thank you for all your prayers support. Despite this though, we have also gone through many hard times this year, both emotionally and financially with familial losses, surgeries, and more. So, any prayers or financial support you'd be able to give would be extremely appreciated. Please be keeping us in your prayers as this month and the next will be very tight, and this year has been emotionally taxing. Thank you and God bless all y'all! givesendgo.com/thechinaharri…

Legends & Demons vol II - A Scrivener's Mercy sits at a messy 85K as I'm nearing the end of Act II. Good writing day today. I've been pretty hit or miss the last few months, so excited to see it progressing.

I’ve been struggling a bit to connect The Fractured Table with an audience. Near future special operators meet ancient mythology with a demonic twist. Where do I find the fanbase for that? Today, it occurred to me that might have some appeal to Stargate fans…

Today, I handed my novel to my (extremely janky - see picture) local AI and asked it to read the entire thing and generate some blurbs. I'm not happy with the results, but I think it's an interesting brainstorm, and I'm very pleased that I can run generations against massive texts without paying for inference or uploading to the cloud. Here are my two favorites: "From the neon-drenched combat pits of Bangkok to a smoking crater in the English countryside, the world is fracturing. Hanita Bhat—a Bollywood starlet turned nomad—is running from a past that won't let go. But when an impossible castle rises from the ruins of a terrorist strike and a top-secret scientist vanishes with a classified vehicle, running is no longer an option. Thrust into a high-stakes recovery mission alongside a disgraced SAS master swordsman and Delta Force operators, Hanita must navigate a reality where the rules of engagement have changed. In a war where high-tech longswords meet ancient shadows, survival is the only mission that matters." "The world has moved beyond swords. It lives by holographic projections, high-speed simulations, and the cold, tactical precision of a ten-millimeter pistol. But for Hanita Bhat, the modern world offers no sanctuary. Hunted by elite agents and caught in the crosshairs of a global conspiracy, she is learning that some shadows cannot be outrun. As the boundary between high-tech reality and ancient myth begins to shatter, she must face a truth that no simulation can prepare her for: the old gods are no longer just stories. They are coming for us all."

I’m getting nearer to the end of “The Breach of Nivenrile,” and all of the praise that I heaped on this book early on in my journey has only multiplied the deeper into the work I’ve gotten. On the one hand, it is something entirely fresh—in that I have seen nothing else like it on the market—and on the other hand, it feels very *old,* like I found it on the shelf of a wizard’s library overgrown with ivy in an ancient forest. This is a glorious thing, but I don’t know how else I can put it. I think you’ll understand exactly what I mean when you read it. Beautiful prose, heart-a-plenty, enjoyable characters with depth, and engaging mysteries continue to pull me gleefully along. Mark your calendars!
THE BREACH OF NIVENRILE COMING 11/7/2026 Conraid Littletree wanders the woodlands of Nivenrile as a lonely wordrunner, finding it easier to run than go home and face sorrow. That is, until he stumbles upon a startling sight that shakes his sense of safety. The steadfast Bulwark, a wall standing 500 years strong and 150 feet tall, has guarded the peaceful land from woes. But now uncouth threats are creeping into Nivenrile, from spying eyes and a stalking huntress to smoke that lingers in the wind where it ought not to. Conraid’s discovery sets him on a stealthy pathmaking task, given by the king himself, to seek out the root of the woes: whispers of a breach in the Bulwark. With ragtag fellows—a froggish nore, a homesick atheling, a stoneworking umberknight, and a defensive shieldthane—Conraid soon finds the mission is more than mending a broken wall. Over sheer heights and through dark underways, they unearth threats to Nivenrile more invasive and insidious than they imagined. Drawn into a fight for the land he loves, Conraid’s limits are tested, from otherworldly foes to reckoning with the sorrow he keeps outrunning. Among his unlikely fellows, he must unearth the strength to withstand what is coming, find the worth in gifts he has long thought small, and seek a path he need not tread alone.

Hey Writer friends, I need a favor. Even though lots of people are seeing The Fractured Table on BookSirens, the conversions aren't happening. Help me fine tune my page. What do I need to change? booksirens.com/book/T45DRHK/… (I have already gotten the opinions of Grok and Gemini, and have the automated message from BookSirens. I'm looking for human expertise. Thanks!)

In 2018, I needed an escape from grief. I had just lost my mother to cancer, and most things in my life seemed to be a reminder of the loss. I searched for months for a way to process my mourning in my own way. I found it in a prolonged act of subcreation (in the vein of Tolkien and Lewis): writing a sprawling tale and drawing the world it belongs to. Over the course of eight years, that work took a shape: a fun adventure story that grew a heart and eventually warranted the full treatment of editing, illustration, and hand-painted cover art: The Breach of Nivenrile. In 21 days, I’d like to share it with you.

I have a feeling I know which book was the most inspirational to her as she set out to do with Narnia what she'd previously done with Barbie and Little Women...
Greta Gerwig on preparing to write Narnia: The Magician's Nephew: "I read or re-read everything Lewis wrote. Then I tried to read everything he read." She also retraced C.S. Lewis's life and steps in Belfast, Cambridge, and Oxford, hoping to better understand the author so that "my instincts would align with his”. Full report: narniaweb.com/2026/10/greta-…

He can’t believe he’d be associated with someone so reprehensible!
Danny Trejo had "never heard" of Ben Shapiro before signing on to star in his production company's pro-ICE film "Pawn Shop," says the actor's son: "My 82 year old dad has never heard of Ben Shapiro, I had to explain to him who that is, and what kind of guy he is. My dad contractually can’t badmouth him, the film, or walk away without being sued for breach of contract. He couldn’t even release the statement he wanted to." variety.com/2026/film/news/d…
