Banger news #6: You know cold email would work for your B2B SaaS or Ecommerce. You just haven’t started, because doing it right is boring as hell: lists, warmup, templates, sending limits, and one mistake puts your domain in spam. Introducing: Claude + Banger: cold email is now one sentence. “Claude, write to these 200 agencies and offer them a call.” What happens next:

I've begun working (a little!) on improving the UX for GetHNJobs, starting with a suggestion to remove a filter (like location) when there are 0-results. Good old search engine UX work. Check gethnjobs.com

DistroChef is launched itself today on @UneedLists using MCP through ChatGPT app (gpt-6.1-tera + medium) reasoning uneed.best/tool/distrochef All the copies, images and the submission went on autopilot with me sometimes answering to it like "i wanna launch it tomorrow" and "yes, i allow u to upload the images" All the feedback about the app and an upvote would be much appreciated
🤖 Made with AI
I asked @T_Zahil to add a feature to link X post with a launch video for launching an app on @UneedLists and it is already live feature, what a speed, many thanks Btw, launching it tomorrow! One more thing to mention - I did not apply it myself and used some MCP for it

When I finished my Master’s in Artificial Intelligence, I had worked with data models, datasets, simulations, bots, and systems to detect whether a person was walking, running, sitting, or had fallen. Then came the job hunt. It was brutal. I felt lost, hopeless, and honestly had no idea what I was doing. I applied to everything. Java. Perl. PHP. C. Around 30 applications later, I got an offer in London. I’m from Portugal. The job was in Tcl/Tk. I had never even heard of Tcl/Tk. But fuck it. I learned the craft, not just the tool. After that first job, finding the next one became much easier. Not easy. Just easier. Because now I had experience, a portfolio, real work, and proof that I could deliver. I think the same applies to AI today. Build things. Create a portfolio. Try different channels. Touch as many areas as you can. Reach out to people. Don’t be scared of looking inexperienced. You don’t need to know everything before you start. You need to start. Stay strong. Believe in yourself.
I don't know if AI changes anything about junior developer jobs. It was always hard to boostrap a career. For me, it was around 15 years ago. Around the end of my university years, I was doing machine learning, building neural network frameworks and training them for image recognition, and I was likely going to do a PhD. Nobody needed that where I lived. I needed a job. I went to many companies, but I wasn't a fit anywhere: I had no experience, and my knowledge was too generic. I could build a compiler, an OS, whatever. I would hire a person like that today, by the way. There was a company that needed a PHP developer, but I only knew how to write C, C++, and C#. I didn't care about the language, so I went to work for them. Once I was in the industry, started meeting people, and gave my all to the work, I didn't have a problem finding a job. I didn't need to apply to companies anymore. It was all thanks to my network. Friends and former colleagues called and asked me to join their companies, and some still do sometimes (the ones who don't know I'm a founder now). The first years of your career, when you are nobody, will be tough. You need to work a lot and present yourself to the world. The same happened to me when I came to X. I started with a few followers, and nobody knew me. I am working on it again now: learning, working, and showing how I can be valuable again. I don't know if AI changes anything about that. Do your best work, bring value and hope for the best.

Well, it's not You Need... I also need it. FOMO, congrats to the residents and organisation!!
I got hired for a week !! Next week, I'm the videographer of the Uneed Residency, Batch 2. I'm going to Nantes to film 13 founders who will live and work together for a whole week in the Manoir de la Plume, a 19th-century manor with a big park and a nordic bath. @T_Zahil, the founder of Uneed, asked me to capture everything that happens there. And he gave me carte blanche. What's coming out of that manor: → Videos and photos from the whole week → A filmed interview with each of the 13 founders → A live stream from the residency Postiz and @creem_io are sponsoring it, and @wickedguro , the founder of Postiz, is coming to the manor too. There is one sponsor spot left. For €5,000, your brand gets: → A mention in the live stream → A mention in every founder interview → A talk at the manor → A video I make just for your brand Want it? DM @T_Zahil or me. October 26 → November 2. See you in Nantes 🇫🇷
