The Republican controlled Tarrant County Commisioners Court removed 92 polling places ahead of the midterms. Predictably, this has created long wait times compared to its Democratic controlled neighbor, Dallas County. Republican controlled Collin County also has long wait times.

Two members of the UT System Board of Regents donated about $1.6 million to Gov. Greg Abbott's reelection campaign using personal funds and totaling more than 90% of the board’s total donations, according to Texas Ethics Commission filings.
