A friend is looking for his next opportunity, and I think he’d be a great profile for anyone building ambitious consumer products. Founder turned product leader with ~10 years in consumer tech. He’s taken products from 0β†’1 and scaled them: built a dating app from zero to $7M ARR and #1 on the India Play Store, grew a community app from 2M to 10M MAU. Especially strong in consumer growth, retention and monetisation, and he’s spent the last few years as Founder in Residence, leading a team of PMs, engineers, designers and marketers. He’s looking for a remote Product role at a consumer or AI company that wants to grow fast, and is open to working with teams anywhere, including US and global startups. If you’re building something ambitious and this sounds interesting, DM me. Happy to share his profile.

Met an amazing PhD couple on my flight. There's something about people in research - humble and have got such deep knowledge in their domains. Makes one feel shallow for the amount of marketing we do for ourselves with barely surface level insightsπŸ«£πŸ˜…

For how advanced San Francisco is technology-wise, I sure think the airport needs a facelift to match that vibe. I can now imagine why even the outsiders are blownaway by Bengaluru Airport - well there's none like it anywhere in Europe or the Americas.

Unbelievable @MarriottBonvoy @Westin stay so far: 1. You want water? Gotta go down 27 floors to fill up your own bottle. 2. WiFi? You pay for it. WiFi down? You gotta deal with their third party WiFi provider. They connect you. Can you believe this!!!😭😭😭

Once you have experienced hospitality in top Indian hotels, it's hard to go back to anything like it. I have had international colleagues rave about it; I feel the difference firsthand when outside the country. And Taj is the Valhalla of that hospitality.

Over a decade later I find myself looking out nearly the same view from the same hotel. What started my journey into startups back then hasn't stopped. I think it has only gotten more ambitious and more beautiful.

UPDATE: Our family is growing. We are having more babies to take care of. We at @AgamRobotics are actively looking to raise funds. We have been investing in building multiple verticals in drone eco-systems like Autopilots, GNSS, DPMs, Sensors which are already in mass production. We have a proven scaling strategy and are looking for funds to scale. Our strategy has been inventory-ready, high quality products at optimal pricing, support and service. We are also actively doing R&D of various other products which are scalable as well. Targeting Defence, industrial, commercial and enterprise solutions. We are looking to raise about 10Cr and are in talks with few people. DM me if interested and let's discuss.

The more I use @getscapia the more I am convinced it is the worse card to use for international travels. Gave up on me the last time, gave up on me this time. Very unreliable coz they outsource any concerns to Federal and the bank has no idea what's happening with the app.

Everytime I use a banking app @WisprFlow's access needs revoked for security. Become a friction using the app.

Think @Pluxee_india is an abomination. What have I got myself into😭 Settings don't take effect. Old cards from decades ago show up. Scanner won't work at restaurant. What is this app even!

Can't believe I can't get hold of a support person on @makemytrip coz bots don't understand my booking request. When someone is ready to spend big and you don't have a logic to route to a person, is such a bad bizops decision.

Like the tickets weren't expensive already. The general thinking of the bureaucracy is "if they can spend on anything beyond basic needs, they can pay more." With the frontier AI risking a lot of jobs, the govt. has no plan to hedge itself against this risk.
🚨 Karnataka introduces 2% cess on movie tickets in the state from September 30.

Having been to Japan, we are not even close to their humility. That's as honest as it goes.

Unusually long downtime with @salesforce today. Do we know the root cause?

What an incredibly frustrating activation @Pluxee_india! First the app won't activate. Sharing error code. And then there's no way to chat to anyone on your website. Terrible onboarding.
