What a heartbreaking week it has been. Sir Patrick Stewart was a friend, a colleague, and a magnificent actor. From the stage to the bridge of the Enterprise, he brought intelligence, grace, and a deep sense of humanity to everything he did. Captain Picard stood for the best of us, and so did the man who played him. I was filled with affection and admiration for him and his work. My heart goes out to Sunny and his family. He will be deeply missed.

imagine starring in a hit tv show, then getting trapped in an elevator with people who think they understand the plot better than you do. 😭 matthew fox can’t even enjoy a ride without one guy accusing the writers of making everything up, another spoiling the show for someone who’s still catching up, and andy samberg confidently yelling “purgatory” like he’s solved a murder. this is what happens when a fan theory gets promoted to a personality. the man isn’t even asking for an autograph anymore. he’s trying to escape a live comment section with elevator doors.

Yeah it would be nice to have some money and enjoy some of the things on offer when you have money but you’ll have to spend time with the other people that have money and boy let me tell you… those people are awful. Unbearable.

The reason I hate the Oxford st pedestrianisation is purely selfish. I have to try and run Xmas lights open top bus tours soon and it’s going to be a nightmare. Merry Xmas to me 😭

Dana Carvey watched Withnail and I while prepping Wayne’s World 2, got fixated on Ralph Brown’s spaced-out Danny, and wrote him into the movie. They treated it like a spiritual reprise, recreating the flat from Withnail, right down to the wallpaper.

Captain Phillips’ ending was shot on the fly with real U.S. Navy personnel. Hospital Corpsman 2nd Class Danielle Albert was told to treat Hanks like a real patient, and it shook him. A Navy captain watching the shoot said: “I’ve seen trauma, and that’s what it looks like.”
