Im sorry, but did you just say Topps is working with shops to lower box prices? Do you care if you're saying anything factual at all? Topps dropped Cosmic today on the website for 26 seconds at 500 per box. Dave and Adams has cosmic on their website right now for 1,140 PER BOX. Even worse, they have update blasters at 35 PER BOX when they sell for 25 literally everywhere else. Topps isn't listening to S**T, and monster card shops prey on the people who don't know any better.
Voters sent a message yesterday: AFFORDABILITY MATTERS.
The hobby should be listening, too.
Collectors have been screaming about box prices for years.
To its credit, Topps is making more value boxes available and working with shops to keep prices at MSRP. That's progress.
Some shops, including CardsHQ, are taking it further — testing selling hobby boxes at MSRP with seal cutting and purchase limits to discourage flipping.
But we need to do more. What else should change?
