🇧🇷 It is crazy how one day you are bound to be the next president of a country, winning half of the nation's votes, and the next day, you have to escape the country, like crossing the North Korean DMZ, just to avoid being jailed by your opponent and their allies.
🇧🇷 BREAKING: Flávio Bolsonaro and his family have successfully escaped Brazilian airspace. While ABIN and Lula’s police forces were searching for him along the borders of Venezuela and Argentina, the senator fled Brasília and stopped in Cascavel, Paraná, before covertly crossing the border into Puerto Iguazú, Argentina, to board a flight out of the country. The United States will grant Flávio a visa and allow him to remain in exile, most likely in Florida under right-wing Governor Ron DeSantis. Bolsonaro's jet is currently visiting nearby Latin American countries led by right-wing populists, including Argentina and Ecuador, before eventually arriving in the United States.

The rule of law is clearly being undermined in Brazil, and political persecution is now being openly acknowledged.

Just minutes after the election in Brazil was called, Alex Soros was out celebrating Lula’s victory over “authoritarianism”.
The next morning, Lula’s federal police attempted to seize the passports of his political opponent, Flávio Bolsonaro.
He has now been forced to flee the country or he would have faced arrest.
This is what real authoritarianism looks like…

🇧🇷 New analysis of Brazil's presidential election finds @FlávioBolsonaro received ZERO votes in 106 ballot boxes where Lula collected 14,860 votes, according to Folha de S.Paulo.
Of those boxes, 65 were in northern Brazil and 29 in the northeast, with one location recording 354 votes for Lula and none for Bolsonaro.
Lula also flipped 211 cities that backed Bolsonaro in the 1st round of the election.
