Mornings like this—coffee in hand, crisp fall air, the southern Blue Ridge stretching out before me—remind me how grateful I am to have quit drinking 20 years ago. I wouldn’t be here to savor this if I hadn’t made that change.

CNN just spent an entire year, virtually every show of every day, implying, accusing or insinuating that Trump is a ped*phile and a ped*phile protector.

Are the Appalachian Mountains, Great Smoky Mountains, and Blue Ridge Mountains the same thing?

The Appalachian Mountains is a mountain range that runs from Newfoundland, Canada down through Alabama. It’s one of the oldest surviving mountain ranges in the world, which is why they look like giant rolling hills.
Within the Appalachian Mountains are subranges.
The Blue Ridge Mountains are a subrange that appears blue and hazy from a distance. This section of the Appalachians runs through Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, North Carolina, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Georgia.
The Great Smoky Mountains subrange lies along the Tennessee-North Carolina border. They’re called the Great Smokies because the dense vegetation causes vapor to form rising out of the forests that looks like smoke.
And I am blessed to come from one of the few places where all of these ranges overlap:
Haywood County, North Carolina. ❤️

I have a lifetime Senior America the Beautiful Pass, but Recreation.gov appears to require existing passholders to pay another $80 just to get the new digital/Apple Wallet version. There seems to be no way to link an existing lifetime pass. Could your office look into this? Seems like an easy fix.
