So, @netdatahq looks nice. I've been without a monitoring solution for a while now — didn't want to spend time setting one up. Currently doing some tests with a parent node streaming to their cloud. Excited to see that their "Anomaly advisor" will find. #homelab
The mystery seems to be solved — actually it was two things: the lack of VLAN egress filtering, as suspected. But the main culprit was RRCP broadcasts from my TL-SG108PE switch, or "Loop Prevention" as they call it. Disabled that and the 1 drops/s went away 🥳
Blog post about the RRCP (Realtek Remote Control Protocol) broadcasted frames that caused 1 drop/s. blog.cavelab.dev/2025/01/net…
I have tried @BunnyCDN Streams before, when it was in preview. It seems more polished now 🙂 I wrote about my previous video solution a few years ago. blog.cavelab.dev/2021/06/vid…

I solved my #wireguard problem — slow egress through my #mikrotik #chr. I was "working" with the @KagiHQ Assistant while troubleshooting. My first time using an AI assistant, I am fairly impressed 🙂 blog.cavelab.dev/2025/01/opt…

I finally got around to install a proper voltage reference on the @arduino board in my @Raspberry_Pi security alarm.
I previously used the 5V supply, but that didn't produce very stable or accurate voltage measurements.
After installing the external reference I have this weird issue where all voltage measurements are pretty noisy. And suddenly they are not 🤷♂️It happens to all three analog inputs, so must be something with the reference voltage. Time to bring out the voltage logger.
