NEW: U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro reported 140 personal financial trades since April — and lots of them appear to have violated the STOCK Act's disclosure provisions. From @byMarkAlfred of @washingtonsun: washingtonsun.com/influence/…

I sat across from Cassidy Hutchinson when she testified. Trump’s DOJ tried to indict her for it. But last night we found out a grand jury wouldn’t even let them bring the case. In 2022 she told the country Trump knew his crowd was armed and wanted the metal detectors taken down. She told us he wanted to go to the Capitol with them and lunged for the steering wheel when the Secret Service said no. Trump’s allies have called her a liar ever since. Now a DOJ lawyer has admitted to a judge that the grand jury rejected the indictment. They say a grand jury will indict a ham sandwich. This one wouldn’t touch her. She threw away her career to tell the truth. I believed her then and I still do. I break it all down in today’s show (link in reply).

BREAKING: Texas Republicans announce they will “Pass on Paxton”: “I truly believe that he is the most corrupt politician Texas has ever seen.” “To send Ken Paxton to the United States Senate is adding another gator to the swamp.” “James Talarico is by far — without a doubt — the best person in the race for the US Senate.”

First, the administration delayed compliance with pollution restrictions on methane and other chemicals, and now they are doing away with these protections altogether. This will give oil and gas companies a free pass to clog our lungs, make the air we breathe dirtier and more harmful and supercharge the risk of wildfires. All accountability for corporate polluters is being stripped away. And the health of the American people is the cost. The EPA has abandoned its mission to protect our environment. That’s why I’ve helped to lead the fight in the Senate to stop this very action – warning that more air pollution brings more cancer, asthma, wildfires, flooding, and other public health concerns. And that’s why I will continue fighting to stop the dismantling of decades of work to curb pollution, invest in scientific solutions, and put fighting climate change ahead of serving corporate profits.

Dan Sullivan's internals must be pretty grim. Trump now says, "In Alaska, I don’t think Mary Peltola, after perpetrating such a terrible scheme, should be allowed to run, because this is ELECTION FRAUD. The Democrats cheated! They found a man named Dan Sullivan, put him on the Ballot, then lied to the Court, and said they didn’t know anything about it. That’s perjury. She shouldn’t be allowed to run, and neither should the FAKE Dan Sullivan! President DONALD J. TRUMP"

Senator @CoryBooker just eviscerated Donald Trump over saying he would "Veto everything" if Democrats win the House and Senate: "First of all, I mean, what an idiotic thing to say. So he's basically saying if we get bipartisan bills passed, put them on his desk, that he's not going to do things that make things better for the American people. You've got to be kidding me. That's not what Reagan did when he had a Congress that was Democratic. It's not what Clinton did when he had a Congress that was Republican. "He said, 'send me bills that will help the American people.' Donald Trump is just so out of touch right now. This election is so vital that we rebuke a president who is getting rich through this corruption, this crypto schemes, who is just cruel and crass. We need to get our nation back to focusing on the work of the American people."

Alex Pretti's mother: The federal government went on TV and lied about Alex. They tried to slander Alex to cover up their crime. We want to clear our son's name, and the world to understand who Alex really was. We want our son's killers brought to justice once and for all. We are begging for the Department of Justice to hold the men who murdered our son accountable for what they did.

@marceelias: “Mr. Blanche, I'd say this: we have beaten you and your team in court like a drum. So I hope you don't do what you are threatening or insinuating you might do. But if you do, I will see you in those courtrooms. I will win. And then I will dance on your head for those victories.”
