We stood shoulder to shoulder with our Chairman, @kyamageroandrew, as he laid his beloved mother, Rose Kirabo, to rest. For no man should walk the valley of grief alone. It was a profound honour to meet his father, Mzee Ssebowa, the patriarch from whose roots such a son emerged. To every man who stood with our Chairman, whether through physical presence, financial sacrifice or emotional solidarity, we extend our deepest gratitude. Brotherhood is measured by the shoulders that carry us when life's burdens become too heavy to bear. May Mama Rose rest in eternal peace. @Maninme_ug @NButeraba

WHY ARE YOU STILL IN YOUR FATHER'S HOUSE? Your address isn't proof of maturity. But neither is your beard.
In Uganda, a man can be 35, have a beard, a salary, a girlfriend and strong opinions about how the country should be governed… but still hear his mother shouting, “Who finished the milk?” 😂 But is moving out proof of maturity, or just an expensive way of proving you own a saucepan? WHY ARE YOU STILL IN YOUR FATHER’S HOUSE? This Saturday, 7–11 AM EAT, on @ManCaveUg. Gentlemen, bring your arguments. And please, ask Mummy for permission first.

A Tribute to Julius Kitone ( @kitonejulius ) Brother, it has been 32 weeks since we buried your body in Rakai. It has been 225 days of silent pain. Today, I scribble this tribute to you, first with a picture of me at SOAS, beginning my Master’s Degree in International Studies and Diplomacy. Ambassador @kitonejulius, I remember one of our conversations on the boardroom balcony. You told me I was due for a career pivot. You said you saw the potential of a diplomat in me. You encouraged me. You guided me. You believed in me. And today, I wish you were here to see this moment. 1/5

Uganda now has two big telecom stocks on the USE: @mtnug and @Airtel_Ug. Over the weekend, I asked myself If I could only own one, which should it be? To start I looked at three years of audited results for both their prospectus, built a model, and compared them side by side. At the time of my research Airtel Uganda was trading at UGX 187 and MTN Uganda was at UGX 445 on @USEUganda I compared the two companies across 22 measures. Here's the interesting stuff I found 🧵
This weekend, I spent time digging into MTN and Airtel Uganda financials. Trying to assess which of the two is a better investment. I had to go back to the prospectus of each. Honestly, in 2021 when MTN lPO'd I didn't understand any of that stuff. Now I am in a better position.

Today, I have received a cheque of UGX 53.5 million from @WatotoChurch in support of the proposed Mobile Water Clinic, an initiative aimed at bringing healthcare closer to communities across the islands. The Ssese Islands comprise 83 islands, while the Buvuma Islands comprise 54. Many communities continue to face challenges accessing healthcare due to the high cost and limited availability of water transport. Following His Majesty the Kabaka’s instruction, I visited the islands to engage with communities and understand their challenges firsthand. It was during these engagements that His Majesty encouraged us to explore a mobile water clinic that can move from island to island, bringing essential healthcare services closer to the people. Health is a prerequisite for social and economic transformation. We have so far raised approximately US$60,000 towards this initiative, and I sincerely thank Watoto Church for this generous contribution, as well as for the excellent organisation of the celebrations marking His Majesty the Kabaka’s 33rd Coronation Anniversary. Together, we can make healthcare more accessible to our island communities. 🙏🏾 – at Kampala, Uganda
