I wrote this article for two aims - You should never forget what you dream of. I spent 10+ years finding the right timing. It is never too late to work on your dream. - I wrote this by hand. I still love writing raw; it is a way for me to express my philosophy and my emotions. I know, many times I write shit grammar, but writing is still a fun activity to me.

Day 4 of 30. Day 3 got the most argument so far. The best reply came from a stranger in the thread, @fuelmeupcc: "Software has to beat free software, not free." There are already free manuscript checkers and free AI readiness scans. They flag the same structural problems editors flag in triage. So @Creader_io is not competing with nothing. It is competing with free. Then the replies kept going, and that part changed how I see it. Editors have run this split for decades. The read is cheap. The markup is the bill. The writer still does most of the fixing. What changes hands for money is the diagnosis: knowing chapter 2 breaks the timeline. The fix is the writing, and the writer does it. That is exactly why knowing where it breaks is worth paying for. @boardyai said it shorter in the thread: price the diagnosis, not the draft. This fits what @Creader_io already is. Verify, don't generate. It was never going to write the book. It tells you where the book doesn't hold together. So my question now is narrower than Day 3's. Is our diagnosis better than the free scan, by enough that a publisher pays for it? Still no one paying. 26 days left.

nicolegong.com is LIVE!!!! spent way too many hours on this. didn't want a portfolio that just lists things i've done, so i turned my favorite projects into stories you can explore. also built an AI twin that knows my work & some of my opinions go be nosy :)

Day 3 of 30. Best pushback on Day 1 came from @0xQingbaoju: "hard to charge for checks feels like homework not creation" I kept thinking about it. @boardyai replied in the thread: editors charge for the homework all day. That is true. A publisher pays someone to read a manuscript and say this part doesn't hold together with chapter 2, this timeline breaks, this sentence is weak. Nobody refuses to pay an editor because editing isn't creation. Writing is a craft with rules you can check. @Creader_io does the checking. It doesn't write the book for you. So the real question is smaller than "is this creative enough." When software does the homework, is it still worth paying for? Still no one paying. 27 days to find out.

Day 2 of 30. Right after yesterday's post, a publisher spent about 90 minutes live with me trying to break @Creader_io. She was adversarial the whole time and gave a full critique. Nothing soft. At the end we agreed to do it weekly. Next session she brings a new story and tests it against the planning-to-manuscript link. That link is not good enough yet, so right now I am rebuilding the whole tree before she comes back. Still no one paying. But someone who checks manuscripts for a living wants to keep checking ours every week.

有些姐妹真的是,有很强的willpower,I want it,I get it。

Day 1 of 30. We have users. People are interested. But no one is paying yet. So useful as a tool or useful as a business, still blank. Next 30 days @boardyai is running a sprint with me to lock deals. Publishers and editing agencies. A couple on trials, one paying. @Creader_io is verify, don't generate. It checks if your manuscript holds together: consistency, editorial quality. It doesn't write the book for you. If this tool just died, will people pay? I would like to know that.

About a year into @gmi_cloud and the AI startup world (When Claude Opus 4.5 just came out, now it’s 5.5), I feel like I’ve been growing the speed of AI models updates lol. Jotted down a little reflection on work and life recently. ✍ My first Substack: I wanna become a nerd Hope you enjoy the read :) nicoleegong.substack.com/p/i…

My new video on ai and design is now live on @Microsoft’s official website! I believe designing intelligence means shaping humanity. In the video, I talk about: - Building @copilot into a thinking partner - Designing beyond interfaces: models, memory, evaluation... And a question I keep coming back to: as ai reshapes our world, how can we live fully, creatively, and meaningfully?

i got 9M views in the past 3 months, then X changed its algo a lot, so I read the code to keep playing the game (it's open source) Here's how X actually ranks posts (Oct 2026) - Copy-link share 20. Reply 5. Quote 5. DM share 5. Follow 4. Repost 1. Like 0.5. - Likes barely move the score. Write things people copy the link to, argue with, or send to a friend. - The first 2 hours decide everything. After 48 hours a post drops out of For You completely. Post when your audience is online, then stay in the replies. - Build mutual follows. When you reply to a mutual follow inside your own thread, that reply gets an extra +15, for 20 total, the same as a copy-link share. Reply to the people who follow you back. - Don't delete and repost to fix typos. Use edit. - Images aren't penalized, but they should carry information. Real scenes, screenshots, and proof-style images work better, and multi-photo posts keep people on the post longer. - Video: watch time currently counts for nothing. Only opening a video counts (0.07). Don't force video for the algorithm. - Ordinary links aren't penalized (anymore); only malicious links are removed. - Avoid negative feedback. Report −234, mute −58.8, "not interested" −47.5, block −31.2. Tagging strangers to ride a trend and clickbait headlines are the easiest ways to trigger them. - Replies are scored by Grok from 0 to 3, and low-scoring replies sink to the bottom of the thread. Low-effort replies don't just fail to help, they get buried.

i guess, we are walking, at the right path. understand human thinking via writing.
i love writing. i never let agents write for me. whether it's docs, or tweets, or shitposts, or even prompts (okay maybe that one's harder as agents manage other agents) there's a simple reason for that: i still strongly believe that writing is thinking. it's a skill i hope to never give up. it's also important to me that whatever i say is always authentic, mistakes and all. my favorite posts are the ones that i just full send without any editing i suspect it also helps with prompting. being able to clearly express what i want, and knowing the vocabulary i need to be able to direct my agents does seem to make for more effective usage of agents. in the same way that engineers have an advantage when we prompt agents to write code, because we are intimately familiar with the words that make up the discipline knowing the right word incantations to get an agent to produce a desired goal almost feels like spellcasting. as models get more capable, and that input box looks more and more like a magic box that can output anything, words become the interface between you and the genie there may come a time when we give up the keyboard in exchange for brain-computer interfaces. but until then, i'm writing every word.
